Long story short, bought a 2016 450FE off a guy with 10hrs on it, had the cam/rocker chew out at 20hrs due to a possible manufacturing error.
KTM ended up rebuilding the head, bike still had a knock to it as the metal shavings had ruined the oil pump/bottom end.
Ended up putting a completely fresh engine in it after I was messed around for 8 weeks waiting for parts to rebuild the head (internal ordering mistake)
So stoked I have a completely fresh motor, last week I would have never even considered a KTM in the future (was on Hondas for 10+ years) but I can't argue with that support.
Has anyone else had similar stories? Or did I get stupidly lucky?

I was just amazed they would cover the costs on a second hand bike with 20 hours on it to begin with, I was extremely frustrated with the time to get it fixed but can't complain with the outcome.

Good deal.
Especially with a fresh motor. Anything else would make me sell it as soon as it's repaired, with it still being in the back of my mind.
No doubt it would have been a ticking grenade looking at the rest of the motor, glad I haven't got the thought of that in the back of my head when riding.
Close, Boppings track he has opened in Braidwood. Worth checking out if you live close by and you like sand
