4/14/2025 12:59pm Falcon is correct in assuming that neighbors will try to be “ the smart parent “ , and will likely try to “ save” your child. Better to keep it as private as possible, maybe a backyard with a fence would be better. This is incredibly sad for me to write, and I will tell you why…… Bought my child , at 3 years old a 4 wheeler. He was riding on his own, in my ( unfenced ) yard, when a female neighbor was jogging past, and she literally charged at me screaming about child safety , parents setting...

4/14/2025 12:59pm I agree with Marty1028 about the neighbors. It won't be noise that pisses someone off; it will be dust, or the idea that you are allowing your own kid to do something they dislike or feel is too dangerous. In any case, pretty much all kids' playbikes are about the same noise level: quiet.

4/14/2025 11:14am I know you said you would like to start with the gas bikes first, but i think the electric KTM/Husky e50 models have been on the market long enough that you could score a good deal on a second hand unit. Stock form pretty much all 50s are the same. Id doubt you'd piss off a neighbor. But its 2025 and someone would see your kid just having fun and they'd get mad. I wouldn't really worry about noise.

4/14/2025 11:14am best bet is starting him off on a stacyc, graduating to a KTM/GasGas/Husky "E2" model, and then go gas. You're wasting time putting him on a bigger bike than he can ride. I had my kid riding as soon as he could walk on a stacyc with training wheels, tried a PW50 when it was time for a dirtbike before trying anything else and it was too big. Went to the "E2" at 3 years old, he's on an e5 now with a lowering kit and just turned 5. This worked well for us.

4/14/2025 11:14am Thanks good information for when he is on his own. I want to ride double up with him at first. Just to get him going and excited. Had a buddy riding his kid on the front with him on his 110 at 10mo. Would like to do the same with mine. I just think for what im wanting to do...

4/14/2025 10:24am Yes the z50 are so cool and may be a bit better for 2 up with the wide seat. Curious on the sound of xr70 vs 50. If i found a good 70 i maybe would jump on that also. The ttr 50 seems louder than the xr 50 it seems. But im not sure, the electric start would be...

4/14/2025 9:35am Once he can ride by himself i will get electric forsure. But I want to ride with him and also want to be a trail focused bike not one of the race electric bikes. I'm not sure if the small small electric bike could handle 2 ppl it looks pretty small. These electric bikes are also quite costly. Would love...

4/14/2025 9:26am Hi, I am looking to get a pitbike to ride my kid around the yard. I have neighbors so I am curious about the quietest bike possible. I figure that a 50cc would be best, I would guess smaller engine less noise. I think a 50 size bike would be best anyways size wise. Would like to start with a...

12/17/2023 2:57pm Hey guys. Anybody know how to polish/restore this 4.1 silencer? Looks way better where the sticker was. Thinking sanding with 800/1000 and polishing with metal polish? any thoughts?

12/5/2023 6:56am I think a little bit more up and down and then pull towards you. Don’t cut into the tank tho. I will say it takes a crap ton of time to get it to look good. It won’t look very good with just the blade. But I guess it will be green. Around the cap is the hardest part to...

12/2/2023 5:07am I ended up running a new bolt in. It got a bit hard but was still able to get it in my hand. I took it out and put the drain bolt in and it went in fine by hand. I torqued it and it’s all good. I think it’s fine. Thanks for the help

11/30/2023 1:11pm My bike is a 18 rmz450. Last time I changed the oil the drain bolt I could not run it in by hand. It needed a wrench but was easy to turn with a wrench and torqued down easy. I was thinking maybe there is a metal shaving in the threads or something. I thought about greasing a tap and...

6/16/2023 5:06pm Ended up figuring it out. I did not know that the two rear shift forks were different. I had them flipped. One has a relief cut for a gear. It was hitting on the gear.

6/15/2023 8:49pm Sweet thanks. I screwed with it for awhile and it all seems to work correctly. I just think the tranny is not made to work by hand really. There is only one way it can go back together.

6/15/2023 10:33am Hey guys I am doing a bottom end rebuild for a buddy in a 08 ktm 250xc. I am getting it back together and I know the transmission only goes back together one way. I was having some trouble getting the transmission to spin correctly. I played with it enough and everything spins well but in 1st it is a...
