IMG 7758 2.jpeg?VersionId=.uDwKLVMpLUXHey guys. Anybody know how to polish/restore this 4.1 silencer? Looks way better where the sticker was. Thinking sanding with 800/1000 and polishing with metal polish?

any thoughts?

It will look better but, it's the Anodizing that is faded. Good luck, post the results

If you sand it you will remove the anodizing and end up with a silver finish. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that.

Don’t think you can do much with the faded anodize… In would try a very lite Buffing compound with air/ electric buffer first… just try to bring up the color some…

Thanks guys. Not sure why I did not realize it was anodized. I’m just going to leave it.

You can spray it with oven cleaner to remove the anno, then polish.  It will come out nicer.

I recently polished my Turbinecore 2 which  was in really rough shape.   I used  a red scotchbrite wheel on my bench grinder then polished by hand with Mother's Aluminim polish then applied a new decal.

I'm happy with the result for about 30 minutes effort.

The scotchbrite polishing disc was a crappy amazon find that did the job, but disintegrated pretty quickly.  Think I will order some better quality ones from PrymeMX next time.
