My bike is a 18 rmz450. Last time I changed the oil the drain bolt I could not run it in by hand. It needed a wrench but was easy to turn with a wrench and torqued down easy. I was thinking maybe there is a metal shaving in the threads or something. I thought about greasing a tap and cleaning the threads and getting a new bolt and washer. Also drain oil after I do this. Does this sound like what somebody would do?
Thanks
Chase the threads and get a new bolt/washer.
Check for burrs and try to look at the threads best you can. This is a weird one.
I ended up running a new bolt in. It got a bit hard but was still able to get it in my hand. I took it out and put the drain bolt in and it went in fine by hand. I torqued it and it’s all good. I think it’s fine. Thanks for the help
