About Me

First race 1972 on a 50cc when 14 years old, got smoked.
Last race 1981 on a KTM 495, didn't win that but had one 1:st place that year.
Then came adulthood, lost connection with MX completely. Wife, kids, house, work, ... you name it.
But, one boring saturday in 2015, youtube for some reason suggested that I should watch motocross. It was about Herlings winning. I watched, and boom! Suddenly I remembered what it was like.
Well... it isn't at all what it was anymore. The sport has changed enourmusly since my active days. But it hasn't lost the magic! At first I was overwhelmed by checking out what had changed; The bikes, the tracks, teams! -There was professional teams, just like in F1 !!! And the riders, they were so fast!

I don't ride anymore, the circumstances doesn't allow it. But I don't think I'll ever lose my MX heart again!

I just finished watching the MXoN Qualifying Races and holy cow what a difference between this broadcast and the pathetic sh@tshow the US SMX broadcasts have become. Some notes: The MXoN broadcast seems to use the necessary 7 or 8 cameras on the ground that actually follow the race fully around the track. Beautiful FULL SCREEN coverage of the riders, properly framed, railing turns, hitting jumps, working the ruts, showing body positioning, suspension action, etc., and most importantly, showing the RACING!! They (thankfully) have very minimal use of their split-screen, and almost zero useless Inserts of a guy in the...

Absolutely insane. Her best laptime would have put her in the points in EMX250 in terms of laptimes. On a rougher track.

But I was finally able to watch the replay from Philadelphia and got a little angry when the guy with the squeaky voice mentioned Tom Vialle as "two times champion of the european championship."...

A fantastic race between Guillen of Spain and Van Drunen of The Netherlands just now. Both so fast, so competitive. 1-1 and 2-2 respectively. Not sure what happened with Courtney Duncan, she was back in 19th this Moto. * she pranged back to 14th, then pitted for repairs(?) and went back out to at least get some points that Moto. Van Drunen is still so young, at only 16. Valk got 3rd OA .

Monticelli rode great but dude he got loose.. Luckily he didn’t take out Herlings with his move. The big boys took it easy, not much going on and nobody wanted to push to much.

Science of Supercross is one of the most boring recurring segments. It’s always refreshing watching a GP because they actually speak to the audience in a professional manor vs. speaking to everyone as if it’s their first time watching a race every single weekend. It’s like if we’re watching an NFL broadcast and they keep reminding us that you need to progress 10 yards down the field in 4 plays in order to get a first down and that a touchdown is worth 6 POINTS every time they’re near the end zone.

Troll... those days are over. Everyone knows that the US can win with their best riders, france can win with their best riders, and alot of other countrys can win aswell. Im just happy usa are there racing, And so are you! To be honest, the mxon would not be nearly as exciting if the usa were not there. /Not american
