I genuinely can not figure out the argument against them. If every single person has to wear one, there is no advantage or disadvantage. Do you feel a bit more free without one? Yes. Will riders adapt to the new feeling in less than a full day of riding? Also yes.

That’s a user problem because their bike wash works just fine, I use it almost exclusively because I like that they don’t do animal testing and it works just as well or better than anything else I’ve used. If you want to keep using Simple Green and dulling the hell out of all of your anodized parts be my guest, that’s what I call an idiot tax.

Maybe if you weren't a blockhead you'd understand more? The original "hate" came from the over-hyped initial series announcements, directly positioning WSX as a "World Championship" of a caliber above the AMA SX series. But then they delivered crap tracks in no-where venues with small gates and no (ok, almost no) top-tier riders. Appears the new owners are a little more serious and the quality of the product is improving. In a few more years it could be a top-notch off season series.
