Kartwheel84c Added a reply to Welcome back Ralph

Ralph has always sucked at anything but NASCRAP. In the late 90s-early 00s I raced jet skis on the national tour, Ralph was the TV guy for a few years and he was even worse at that than he is SX. Even when Fro was there, I cant tell you how many times Emig (and now RC) would start to...
I never downplayed Herling's talent and speed, but I really thought Tomac would be close if not equal. Unless ET's bike problem caused him to be slower than he could have gone with a perfect bike even before it quit, I have to agree with RV, Herlings is on another level all by himself. I guess we will see tomorrow...

Kartwheel84c Added a reply to If Anderson wins this title

Yes, I think Donnie Hansen is the most like Anderson, both were not rookies and probably considered threats to win races, but for sure not favorites to win the title.

If you want to go all the way back to the beginning, I think the most unlikely would be Jimmy Ellis in 1975 on the Can-Am, but SX was still more of a sideshow at that time. I would put McGrath in 1993 as less likely than Anderson this year also. If you are talking only 450 era, Dungey winning...

I dont really notice it other than the suspension works really really well. It pedals almost like an XC bike even with the shock wide open and it is capable enough on descents to race it in enduros, which I have done several.

Kartwheel84c Added a reply to Where'd your number come from?

Same here, 448 is the last 4 of my AMA number and they told me to use that. I used that for years until I started vintage racing they issued me 84c which I use now.
Who cares if a manufacturer wont "like it" just because they dont offer a product that fits the class? That is their business decision and it should have NOTHING to do with the racing rules. That is like saying Le Mans should shape their rules so there is a special class for Tesla electric cars. The FIM/AMA/Feld/MX Sports need to...

Right, and other than the aluminum subframe and plastics there really is no difference '98-'04.
Everyone who wrote Tomac and US motocross off after over reacting to last weekend is dumb. Likewise, everyone who is doing the opposite today, also dumb. Guys have good days, guys have bad days, GPs have some of the best riders in the world and AMA has some, what is so fucking hard to understand about that? As an American...
That is true, you never said you wanted them to let him keep his number but you said the AMA would "want to make him happy" which is preposterous. Before the drug suspension and he terrible results following that, I would agree, since then? No way, they have no reason to help James, the sport has moved on and you should...
