It should be no surprise that he's a contender for the Open Class victory this weekend, the competition isn't deep!

If I were a betting man; i'd say Barcia takes it tomorrow, the dark horse could be Anstie. Time will tell eh!

Yet, they finished 8th, 9th, 10th and 16th in MXGP this year.

Heck, two of them are struggling to get rides for 2019, one is even considering retirement!

Realistically, Barcia should be handling those guys and Coldenhoff on home soil!
Yes and *most* of the riders who finished in front of those guys are racing in MX1. Minus Gajser and Febvre of course. They are still solid top 10 guys who can battle with the best in the world at any time.

I simply don't like putting amazing riders on blast. Everyone named is fantastic and I love to watch ride. They're all capable of being the top "open" rider tomorrow. However, I hope like crazy Barcia is the number one guy.

I'm super pumped for tomorrow. Anything can happen. USA, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, GB could all, in theory and in my opinion, take the win tomorrow. Just depends how crazy it gets. Canada hopefully lands in the top-10 if Facciotti gets it together.

How does the B Final go?

There are 11 teams, so 20th place gets 1st, 12th and 23rd gate picks?

Do they count two out of three scores to determine the winner?

I remember seeing Martin Davalos blast the field back in 2007. It was a very exciting race! No one should miss it!

I was at the track. As ugly as it looked , with no Plessinger crash we qualify 1st. 1-2. Not so bad, but it was a rough day out there.
With no Herlings crash we still would qualified in 1st. What do you wanna hear?

There's no IF's man. AP lost it and effed up. Tomac couldn't find the gear to get around Searle. The only person that carried us today was Barcia, and Hoff still gapped him. I've swallowed so much pride today I think I'm gonna puke a little. (then keep drinking)
Hoff gapped Barcia? You must have been at a different race than I was

Man....I was all on the Tomac train...I genuinely thought, at the very least, that he'd be battling with Cairoli and Herlings...but watching Herlings come from dead last to 3rd while Tomac stayed behind Searle the entire race. I take back all my Tomac fan-boy banter. Herlings is something else. I think Tomac on his best day can absolutely hang with Herlings, but it seems like Herlings just doesn't have a bad day. That's the difference. I hope AP and JB bring home a couple moto wins tomorrow. Obviously hope that Tomac brings it tomorrow too...but now I'm just stoked to see how Herlings comes back with a vengeance tomorrow. Dude's fun to watch.

Now I just want to sleep until the races start tomorrow.

I honestly believe Herlings is significantly faster than Tomac. I think Tomac and Cairoli would be closeer in speed. Herlings is on another level compared to anyone in the world. Herlings is what Stewart was in the 125 class. No one will beat him anywhere in the world without a crash or mechanical.
I've pretty much felt this way since Herlings performance at the Ironman last year. Then he went and got even faster in the off season. That crazy speed Tomac has showed when he's needed it dropping laptimes by 3sec well Herlings has that from the gate drop. I'll be honest though AC was the most impressive rider to me. He put on a clinic

I know you Tards don't want to hear it but I was right about Herlings. He will lap up to 4th place tomorrow. F.T.B.

Just read every post on all 28 pages. Had a few 404 errors and heavy traffic messages but that just means Vital is the place to beCool . There was some us vs them sillyness but far less than years past. Very little vitriol, which is cool. Today was practice and qualifying which, as was stated over and over, is not "the race"...but it can NOT be discounted out of hand. Clearly, home track and crowd advantage, meant little. The world came with their A-game. The U.S. can still bring back the Chamberlain...but it will require stellar rides from our boys. I don't mean good....I mean epic. I can't imagine our team getting 8 hours sleep between all 3 of them.

And for all my fellow countrymen who think the MXoN is outdated and pointless....you couldn't be more wrong. What a great way to celebrate the love of moto and country without animosity. This truly is the best race of the year.

I never downplayed Herling's talent and speed, but I really thought Tomac would be close if not equal. Unless ET's bike problem caused him to be slower than he could have gone with a perfect bike even before it quit, I have to agree with RV, Herlings is on another level all by himself. I guess we will see tomorrow, but one thing is for sure, if the USA loses we cant blame the travel, strange food, unfamiliar tracks...

Herlings is on a completely different level. Cairoli dominated the entire MXGP field the same he has for many years. Difference this year was Herlings dominated him even more than he dominated the field.

What Herlings did at Ironman there’s no way anyone else in the world could have done that on their best day on their best track. Herlings did it with less than a week’s notice on a borrowed bike at a track he’d never seen before.

In a theoretical championship where we saw all the best in the world going at it, I think the top two would be the same as the MXGP was. 3 would be Tomac and 4-14 would be a complete crapshoot between a ton of amazing riders.
