Has there been another rider who has come back from a points deficit like Tomac has? I'm sure there's been situation's where the points leader crashed out or something, but I can't remember a season where a guy just continuously beats the points leader to make up the ground. It's impressive with how good Dungey has been in his career.

You seem to forget just a week ago when Dungey and Tomac started together and the result was exactly the same. Dungey's needed to make things happen the past couple weeks and he just hasn't.

In plenty of ways KTM has broken through to the American market and are definitely on par with the Japanese bikes but there is definitely still people who will not go near a KTM due to bad experiences with them prior. He's not a headcase he's just a great rider who is facing the inevitable drop off that happens over time. Reed used to be a title contender but realistically isn't anymore. Ryan's had a great career thus far and can definitely still win a title but I believe the days of him being the easy favourite like 2015 and 2016...
