year 2 of Baker's factory has him sucking fumes
Roczen and the Diesel still have the same amount of wins this season and I don't see that changing

As much as I'd hate to see Dungey lose the points lead, it would be SO cool to see Tomac win this thing

Roczen was in Tomac's head. I think Tomac has Roczen speed but not when confronted with Roczen confidence. If and when Roczen comes back (and up to speed) will be the test for Tomac.

It looks like the writing is already on the wall about who's in the drivers seat right now, but for the life of me I can't figure out why so many people are so excited to see Dungey struggle. The dude has never done anything to deserve the hate he gets on here. He's kicked serious ass since his rookie year, especially the last two years.

He's obviously down from the standard he's set for the last two years and we have people on here celebrating his decline in performance like the Jews chanting for Christ's crucifixion.

Why is it that there has to be a problem? Maybe Tomac is just killing it and that is the end of the story. He crushed everyone outdoors till he crashed and that was just Tomac flying, not everyone else having a problem.

I disagree about Kenny being in Tomac's head, I just don't think you get to that level by being that easily effected by other riders. I just think it's a coincidence that Kawi and Eli figured out the bike the week after Kenny's crash. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything because I have no idea, so like you said it will be an interesting thing when Kenny comes back.

Lots of racing left. I like both Tomac and Dungey but would really like to see Tomac win this title. However, with that said, Dungey has got bad starts while Tomac has been starting up front and that could change real quick. Dungey has done some great damage control at the end of these mains making crucial passes showing he is not "Done" , imo. This has been the best season in years and I look forward to seeing how it unfolds.

Really, you can't figure this out?.. Because we want to see an actual title fight! Not one guy run away with the points lead and make the season boring. Idk about everyone else, but I'm not happy about the points gap being closed up just to see Dungey lose. I'm happy to see it closing up because it brings interest into the season for all 17 rounds. If it were Tomac in Dungey's position, I'd be rooting for Dungey to catch up to Tomac in points. Really not a hard concept to grasp.

Tomac is putting on a clinic at the moment and taking it to the rest of the field. But that being said, history tells me that Dungey is likely to stop the bleeding before it's too late or Eli will lay an egg here soon and put it back out of reach. Until they hand Tomac the #1 after Vegas, I'm going to continue to say it's Dungey's to lose. He's just too damn good at closing these things out.

All the Dungey HATERS have been cooped up to long and now feel the need to bash the guy. I don't get it Unsure

I'll admit I am a huge Dungey fan up front. Mostly because he represents the sport at a mainstream level we haven't seen in a long time.

My guess is that the neck/back injury last year detuned him pretty severely. Other than a previous collarbone injury he really hasn't been hurt as a pro. I think we are seeing the same thing in Ryan that we saw in Marty Smith after he had the hip injury in Houston years ago. Guys that have never been hurt until late in their career don't seem to rebound like guys that are used to crashing throughout their career.

I think we are seeing the passing of the torch (although I think we all thought that Roczen was going to be "the guy" until the third round) and I don't think Ryan will be back next year. I don't think the fire is burning as hot as it was. And that should be OK for him as he has had an incredible run. He can retire and be proud of his career whenever he makes that decision.

Tomac has won 7 races Dungey 2. Don't expect to win the championship with hopes Eli will make a mistake. Win the championship by beating the best guy.

Oh man it does my head in.. You're right they've been sitting there the last couple of years seething because he was so dominant and now he's 'struggling' they've all come out with their feathers fluffed as if they've known all along.. So small

Eli is as confident as ever and Dungey is definitely having trouble getting up front and remaining there for long. I could see Dungey coming out in St Louis and dominating, wouldn't surprise me. At the same time the thought of Eli winning the title is becoming less and less surprising as time goes on as well

So if Dungey somehow eeks out this championship none of us will see a negative comment from you about Dungey?

So if you root for Tomac, that makes you a Dungey hater? What's wrong with you people? You guys won't be happy unless Dungey has a 57 point lead!

Agreed. He was just the consistent top 3 guy against RV. Lookin like that now

Last year's neck injury! If you crashed and had that same kind of injury and went back to racing wouldn't you think about the consequences of another crash?

Up until last night, I still thought Dungey could pull this championship out. Now it looks to be over for him. He just isn't as fast as Tomac. The only way for Dungey to win this championship is for Tomac to give it to him by DNF'ing or crashing back deep.

I think most of it has to do with Dungeys blind followers on here. I dont think its hate for Dungey, i think is more, get the Dungey clan riled up. His following on here has some completely delusional people in it, just absolutely refuse to admit he may not win it all.

I would just like to see people enjoy the fact that we have an amazing series to watch in both classes. It is possible to cheer for your guy without demeaning someone else. In the end this will be decided by who rode better over the entire series, not who rode worse or choked...fuck anyone that says that. I'm gutted as a Dungey fan that he has given back all these points but at the same time I admire the fight that Tomac has presented and that he figured his shit out and is on beast mode. Pretty impressive stuff. Baggett and Millsaps have jumped to another level too. All great racing and I can't wait for the races next week.

Can Dungey still win? Of course. One big mistake by either guy at this point would be catastrophic to their title hopes. Now that Tomac is this close he is going to have to play a little defensive too, and soon. Both guys will be holding the handlebars pretty tight over the next five races, and no one can deny that. Great stuff-so enjoy this series kids and don't be assholes about it.

It's the same as politics. You have the far left and the far right going ape shit against their favorites opponent, then there's those of us in the middle region who just like to see the good racing and know how events can transpire in a moments notice. The problem is that the idiots on the left/right are the most vocal and they talk over those of us who "get" it. Oh what the hell, let them vent.

Sure didn't seem like he was thinking about it when he was chasing Ken earlier this year. That was the same Dungey before neck injury. I haven't seen this Dungey before.

Tomac is absolutely phenomenal at the moment, the speed that he raced away from those guys at last night was absolutely incredible, and he's definitely learned from past years in the fact that once he gets that lead he just settles it down and brings it home. He had to be the favourite for the championship now in my opinion, I know Dungey still has the points lead, but with how many points Tomac has taken out of him in recent weeks, and the momentum he has, he has to be the favourite.

Dungey has shown us time and time again what a great human being he is. Anyone who roots against him, as a person, is a fool and part of what is wrong with the world. He deserves all of the success that comes him way. I'm not rooting against him, per se. I'm rooting for a meaningful round 17.
3/26/2017 7:56am
Dungey is having flashbacks of the last time a green bike whooped him. Just kidding..but Tomac is killing it right now and no one has anything for him.
