The stock mapping on the 300 is a quick/ hard, low to mid hit, then signs off early, you learn to short shift and not over rev the bike…gearing was 14-49 when they first came out, I settled on 14-50 to use 3rd more…my 25 came with 14-46 gearing…strange rear gearing, I immediately went to a 50 rear. I have a remap from WMR KTM shop in Florida….the most power/ MX map is eye opening….bottom, mid, and top end pull for as long as you hold it open….all on pump gas 93 octane….what I like about the 300”s is map#2...

I'm probably the most excited about how Tomac will do this year honestly. Last year was probably the first time we heard Tomac saying how he didn't feel comfortable on a bike outdoors and I really hope that changes on the KTM.

As a mini(1 65 & 2 85s) dad, I am grateful the 150 thing did not take off.

Owned a 23,24,25 sx300 after many years of carbed Ktm’s. Absolutely loved them, my local dealer stopped being an Austrian dealer so I picked up a 25 yz250. Yz is absolutely a fun bike but is pals in comparison as a race machine to the ktm 300sx. I’ll be back on the ktm300 for my next bike.

And herlings is still better than everyone when healthy despite having to rebuild himself 15 times

Chase dominated an outdoor season on the KTM with Jett out, let’s not forget that. I like Chase, but I don’t think he would’ve beat Jett for that outdoor title had Jett stayed healthy. I know I know, Jett had to have been there, but even the best version of Chase on the KTM wouldn’t have beat Jett over the course of 22 motos imo.

Chase should’ve never left that KTM. Dude went last to first in a national on it….why on earth would he leave that bike.

It was never the bike. He said bike but he meant team. Who knows why he didn’t gel with the team. Should have figured it out.
