I disagree... I think Jo is wasting time on the small displacement bike. He's shown he's better suited to the 450. IMO every season he's not on a 450 at this point is wasted potential. We've seen what he does on the 250. It's barely getting any better each year. Just my opinion...

You do realize Jo has been racing 250s awhile. Weren't Hunter and Jo's rookie years the same year on Geico?

I expected the two riders leading the MX1 & MX2 GP points leads to be fast. It's great they seem to be nice guys happy and cheerful. Not entitled little pricks worried about social media likes and behaving like a ghetto rap wannabe. We are lucky they are moving to America.

Yeah, he's very mature for his age. I appreciated Lucas reaction in Australia, when he lost title to Febvre. Class act. Unlike Kay de Wolf, who tried to kill Langenfelder in title fight.

He legitimately looks like the only person in the world that could possibly beat jett and even battle him for a title. Going to be awesome next year, it could be like chase vs eli only even faster and smoother. Plus hes only 19! Hunter, a healthy eli, sexton on a ktm/honda, and probably deegs and prado can all most likely beat jett for a moto or two, but lucas really looked like hes at that next 1% where jett lives and could battle him. Everybody sees that next tier that jett is at that is just a bit higher...

Its even more crazy when you realize that only 3 races in to his debut deegan and jett are now tied for the amount of times theyve been off the podium at 2. Jett has raced 32 races and deegan 3. Its otherworldly the run this guy has been on in the 450 class so far. Hes raced in 32 450mx races so far and only finished off the podium twice. Hes won 28 of the 32 races hes participated in total so far, so hes won every race but 4… in 32 races. Crazy!

Yep. Jett sliced through the field and blew by Gajser first, but he definitely didn't expect Gajser to keep up with him and be so close with two corners to go and Gajser just went for it with full commitment, frikkin good moto. Jett did the same with a couple corners to go also on Gajser a year before that at Ernee, it was basically payback lol

Renaux beat him the 2nd MX1/Open moto at Red Bud but I don't think he passed him. He started in front of him. In somewhat of a role reversal Jett stalked him the whole moto and couldn't get by him. I was there and was blown away by Maxime's ride that day. It had me expecting big things from him in MXGP. Not many can say they held off Jett a whole moto. It was Jett's first 450 ride but he was exceptional the moment he got on a 450. He beat Chase the 1st moto that day and that...

30 races in his 450 career. Only lost 4 overalls - Hangtown ‘24, Washougal ‘25, Ironman ‘25 and Pala ‘26. Only finished off the podium twice - Hangtown after his crash and Ironman when he hit the gate. 60 motos - 49 wins, 4 second place, 4 third place. Only finished off the podium in a moto 4 times. Oh and his MXoN results are 1-2-6-1-1-2-1-3.

Great interview and insights from Mitch Evans. As an Aussie I listened to the whole thing. Regards his comments on the Kawasaki though, certainly puts a new perspective on it. I didn’t have much sympathy for the woes of chase (or prado last year), but this certainly painted the situation in a new light. Best comment from Evan’s, something along the lines of…. ‘ I could ride within myself and qualify near the front on the Honda. Push myself past my limit and nearly die three times in one lap and qualify 10th on the Kawi ’. Pretty eye opening.

Yea, I'm trying to not get caught in the hysteria around the Kawi/Chase/Prado/Febvre/Marchbanks situation. Different riders have different riding styles. Of the people who have complained about the latest generation Kawi, they've all said similar things (including Seewer), being that in order to ride at their fastest, the way they know how, they have to way overcompensate with input to throw down a fast lap and they simply can't maintain the physical exertion or the bike tells them "no, I don't work like that" and it spits them off. With Chase, it makes sense. His A2 win, I remember thinking...

I’m most interested to see Southwick. I know Lucas will be fast in the sand but Jett absolutely waxed everyone there last year; Tomac was 32 seconds back in both motos. I have a feeling Jett is even better in the sand than we’ve seen. He spent a lot of time in Europe training and learning technique at Lommel. I suspect we are going to see Lucas and Jett have a ding dong battle and leave everyone in their dust.

Mostly depends on how 17 rounds of SX go for him I guess. He had multiple months of focus and prep on outdoors this year. To me he doesn't need more raw speed, he just needs to build consistency and smooth out to on the 450 to bring the speed he already has over the whole day, because he is already fast af. Scary part is.. Jett said on pulp he didn't even do 30 min motos yet between the weekends due to recovery and he's starting to feel better with his ankle, this isn't just bad news for Deegan...

I was wondering if Deegan had even heard of Coenen before last weekend...

Not only did he finish ahead of Deegan, he was closer to Jett time-wise in both motos than Deegan has been in six motos so far.
