From reading this thread it appears that some folks believe that the guys that are eager to be on team USA are just a bunch of ignorant dumb fucks making some foreign slime ball richer. I mean, money is the only reason anybody does anything, right? And before some knucklehead says, "The riders/teams shouldn't have to foot the bill to race the MXdN"...you're %100 correct. The American sanctioning body...the AMA has the ability AND responsibility to fund the American effort.at this International event. No fucking bake sales or crappy merch. Take 1 dollar from every SX or MX ticket sold...

The more I read about the MXdN, the more pissed off I become about Star Yamaha. They have to be one of the more financially stable teams in the U.S.A, yet they cannot afford to send a couple of guys to France ? Oversimplification, I know, but come on Star !

Honestly, I feel like Spain has to be the favorite, no? France and NL need 250 riders, Belgium needs consistency and a healthy Lucas. US may be sending a B team...

Webb has stood up to represent USA, over and over. Many times in less than ideal conditions, too. He doesn't cherry pick when it's convenient or beneficial. So he deserves a ton of respect. He's real, it's not just for show. I understand there is a financial side to it, a risk/reward also. But through Webb's whole career, he makes it known that he wants to go and he will do whatever the team needs. He deserves a lot of credit for that.

Webb may not have results here in the states, but he has pulled it together when it comes to MXDN. He was faster and better than AP on a 250 last year, his first year on a 450 he almost won us the whole thing, coincidentally cost us the win if I’m remembering correctly. Send him, he’s proven he can stay upright and get inside the top 10 here consistently.

I was not a Cooper Webb fan at all, but when all the other riders were making excuses to not go, Webb stepped up to 450 and raced anyway , made them all look stupid, he got the memo about why you never say no. Then again he steps up to ride the 250 at Matterley Basin, having not ridden one for 6(?) years. You dont forget stuff like that.

I mean Prado did it in 2024 aswell with only a couple weeks of practice before A1 while riding SX for the first time basically. He did well but he also only did 4 rounds. 17 rounds for Lucas would be crazy.

Well 450s at least. Sacha will kick everyone’s teeth in in the 250 class. None of our guys are at that level in the 250 class. He just beat them all with a broken collar bone for fucks sake!
