The right thing to do is nuke Australia and claim the Lawrence brothers as US property.

Anyone got Trumps phone number?

LOL...

Does anybody else feel the same way i do?

Anybody that comes over to race in the US and embraces our series is ...well...I view them as being kind of ours?

Work hard...don't be a dick... mix in some solid family values like the Lawrences and you are probably more American then about 20% of the population that was born here.

I do feel exactly the same way. Jett and Hunter are pure class, we all should feel grateful they decided to hang in America..

Not unbearable.... kinda like talking to my 9 yr old nephew really.... clueless and delusional for the most part... someone who has yet to find their way... the world hasn't kicked their ass hard enough yet to really know what's up....

Funny part is he post the one picture of Deegs with the dumb upper lip thing, I’m sure Deegs himself would prefer that picture be gone

Is the AMA involved in this? I mean, do they have anything to do with MXON???

Yes, the AMA is one of 125 National Federations that make up the FIM, Team USA are riding for the AMA at the MXoN.

From reading this thread it appears that some folks believe that the guys that are eager to be on team USA are just a bunch of ignorant dumb fucks making some foreign slime ball richer.

I mean, money is the only reason anybody does anything, right?  And before some knucklehead says, "The riders/teams shouldn't have to foot the bill to race the MXdN"...you're %100 correct.  The American sanctioning body...the AMA has the ability AND responsibility to fund the American effort.at this International event.  No fucking bake sales or crappy merch.  Take 1 dollar from every SX or MX ticket sold to fund our team.

Please, The FIM, MXGP and whatever else they go under to collect the cash should foot the bill. You really believe that MXGP should be entitled to 100% of the profits without paying any manufacturers or riders?  This type of thinking is exactly why the MXDN will cease to exist in the not to distant future. The current financial configuration of the MXDN cannot continue.

Early in my training an older doc told me something that's always stuck with me, there's more ways to get paid than just money. Time off, flexible schedule, benefits, enjoying the job, pride, notoriety, etc etc etc..... seems obvious but stating it that way so money doesn't get put in some separate category has been helpful for me when making career decisions.

Deegan and a lot of others in this thread don't seem to understand this. You're allowed to do things in life even if you're not maxing out on the finances in the deal.

And can we stop the nonsense about the sky is falling with team USA? Yes the financial setup should be better and yes there's been trouble putting a team together for the last several years, but other than Deegan, almost all of it has been late injuries or team changes that didn't make it possible. Deegan stands alone as the guy in consideration who has turned this into a purely financial calculation. Stop lumping all the other riders in with him on this issue.

Is the AMA very active, in anything?

Maybe they are but I never hear of what they accomplish.

Well, they finally updated their system from 1970 a year or so ago, but that’s about it

I hear you, though. I have been a member on and off for years, but only for racing purposes. And when I raced with organizations that didn’t require AMA membership, I would let it lapse. I think it’s a good organization overall, but I also think it could be better.

Do we think Yamaha makes a profit from MX bike & part sales? How much?

What about Monster? Do they make a profit from sales made to the mx fan base?

I think these two companies should sacrifice a tiny %age of their profits to pay for this race.

Maybe fans should vote with their wallets..

LoL...lmazing how you don't see that this lame analogy of yours is total nonsense.  If you can't see that, not gonna waste my time explaining it to you (again).

Maybe if you repeat this same idiotic line over and over it'll become even more true in YOUR head.

Find a different Hero to spend all your effort on...this one is just bringing embarrassment to you.

You didn't explain the first time, you just gave your opinion of Haiden Deegan and asserted he's a hypocrite. Opinions are not facts. The example I gave is the exact logic you used. I can put it into propositional form (google it) if you like, but there is no need since you did not in any way show that he is hypocrite, anymore than a person who waves an American flag, who declines to enlist in the military to represent their country, even though they are asked to do so through texts, emails, phone calls, etc. is a hypocrite.

For some strange reason, you seem to think the two are different, but they are not. Now I have no doubt that you will huff and puff and downvote, but the one thing you won't do is to show how Haiden Deegan is a hypocrite for waving an American flag at the races, and then also declining to race the MXoN (even though it was Star who declined and not Deegan).

Also, have a great day!

I’m more impressed you don’t see star is covering for deegan

Absolutely they are.  100%.

Dngr does not want to get beat by other riders not named Lawrence.

This is why he is not racing.

STAR Racing says it needs $25,000 per bike to compete at the MXoN.
No problem.
Deegan can easily pay that himself, or find personal sponsors willing to put up the cash.
The bottom line is that he’s wetting his pants at the thought of facing "The Wolf" or even the reunion with Vialle. He litteraly hyperventilates over his hero, Herlings.

This week's show was a good listen.

Barcia has been riding better, maybe they should pick him or ask Eli

Kellen was absolutely spot on with everything he said in this weeks LVK.

Have you forgotten that Kawi has refused to send their riders since 2014 because of the cost vs reward....and now Star Yam has joined with them for the same reasons....Is it too much to ask for those in charge of the US MXDN team to be proactive knowing how much they to need to just cover  the costs of the team....selling t-shirts and jerseys with a golf tourney thrown in isn't going to do it....I mean there are high school football teams that raise more money than these clowns......at least the AMA entourage gets to go for free with all expenses paid....People also forget that we stopped sending teams in the late 70's for the same reasons and if it wasn't for Dick Miller of MXA who actually raised enough money to cover the costs to go we probably would never had gone back....that was 1981...we are now back to the same spot we were back then but without a visionary and leader like Dick Miller...

My take on this.

  1. Why not make a YouTube record of this?  Surely with Deegs following they could recoup the outlay.
  2. I thought Yamaha paid for Stars 450 team?  What does Yamaha USA (or even Japan as it’s not a good look for the brand).
  3. How big an ‘entourage’ is going, should only be 1 mechanic per rider????
  4. Who paid when Zacho, Anderson & JCooper went over early to get sand practice a couple of yeas ago?
