I'd agree, but mud races are different. Sure, they all raced the same conditions but mud tends to create severe imbalances. Some examples are Rick Ryan, normally edging outside the top 10 in sx, winning Daytona in the mud. Another example is Stefan Everts lapping RC in the mud. Not once, but twice I believe. No one thinks these things would happen under normal conditions, so I personally tend to give more weight to dominant performances in dryer conditions. However, his ride is definitely up there just because lapping an entire field, mud or not, is amazing.

It helps to Video every ride. Without it you can tell yourself how fast or slow you're riding, how smooth you are through the corners, etc..., but the GoPro footage will tell you the truth. When I first started recording every lap of every practice, then watch most of it the same evening, I thought a few things: Why am I going so slow? Why the heck did I get off the gas so far before the corner? Why didn't I go for that jump? It's tiny. This would be a better line through that. It was a really satisfying...

There's no accurate answer to that kind of question. The aluminum framed conversions are different depending on who builds them and which parts are used. General downsides: A ton of conversions I've seen in person and on the internet have poor welded joint design where the frames were modified. Also, I see a lot of these conversions with air intake boot replacements and air boxes cobbled together from radiator hoses, fragile carbon fiber and other strange parts. Some builders do a great job in those areas, but I see more bikes with those issues than without because those are difficult...

Actually, I don't think "we're better than this". The fan base and mob mentality is just doing more damage to the sport. I'm not picking sides between DB or RC with this response either.
