Who would argue it was intentional? Obviously not. The rules specify advantage gained. I couldn't care less, but Cooper doesn't make that exact pass without being in that position. Who's to say Eli doesn't melt down if he's not passed? He certainly doesn't have to lift his foot and cross rut in that corner without Coop's presence that far inside

“I just don't get where he "cut" the track.” Webb cut half of the corner. Look at the replay, he never touches the track on 90 degrees of a 180 degree corner. He landed in the second half of corner before he even started to turn. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming Webb cheated. I just think he should have waited to make the pass to avoid the penalty. Still not sure why the other thread got flushed (unless some posts were clipped that I couldn’t see, which is entirely plausible), but I’d like to see this topic NOT go away until it’s addressed by the AMA. So, avoid the name calling and keep this out of the dumbgeon. A lot of posters mentioned that it was an accident or that Webb didn’t intend to make the pass in the fashion he did. A common theme this time of year. With the season being past the halfway hump, many like to think that this week is the beginning of the end for SX. When the race to Vegas begins, when the men are separated from the boys, and when a true champion emerges. Im happy to see Nichols have a good year but cmon this is ACs. The kid won his entire life, won right away his rookie year multiple times, got red plate, looking like business as usual... Gets squirley in 1 whoop section and crashes hard... then keeps crashing nonstop and has his world demolished for 3 years, became a non factor, moved on from, relegated to yet another amateur that didnt pan out. Then through pure hard work grit balls n determination he rose back to the top of the sport a 2nd time, now hes winning again, red plate...
