When was the last time we had a season where that happened?

Edit for clarity: Three different main event winners on the same brand in the 450 class.

Think maybe the Steel Frame had an advantage there? I am thinking probably so.

One brand fielding like 10 factory riders is the advantage

Do the 250's have steel frames? Top finisher was 11th.

Can't win if you don't play.

He doesn’t mean sweep. I think he means three separate winners on the same brand.

Ktm is the new and improved HRC Honda of the 80’s.
They are not only current and uptodate, they seem to be dominating on a global level.

On the subject of steel frames Ktm has a weight advantage over the others How much lighter is there frame on the production bikes compared to the alloy frames of the Japs ?

Improved? Man that’s a tough. Some of the Honda squads were insane back in the day.

It's easy when the only 3 guys racing out there are all on them.

Actually there were only 3 KTM's in the main event.

Indy main event by brand

Honda - 5 riders
Husky - 5 riders
Suzuki - 4 riders
Kawasaki - 3 riders
KTM - 3 riders
Yamaha - 2 riders

Their racing effort in offroad series around the globe is impressive.

Honda is smart with having MCR as a satellite team. But they are still a bit behind KTM in that too, MCR bikes aren't factory spec bikes while the RMATVMC bikes are full factory spec bikes.

I wonder if Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki are going to try to expand their efforts? Suzuki have HEP but they are still far behind teams like RMATVMC and MCR.

I'm sure it's expensive for KTM/Husky (they got budget cuts for this year) but it has to be worth it when you sweep the podium a couple of times every year.

Back in 2013 the KTM frame was 1 pound lighter than a competitor’s aluminum frame. They didn’t mention which one.

Of course the steel frame is an advantage over the aluminum frame. How can we deny that ? If Webb dominates as much today, the bike is for something. Same for Herlings, Cairoli in MXGP. The best riders on the best bikes, it's hard to beat.

KTM in motocross is like Mercedes in F1. Thank u Redbull for the money : https://blog.ktm.com/the-bull-how-red-bull-help-ktm-go-racing/
