I get it, I really do, but that's not what I'm wanting to hear via in-race commentary. I can listen to podcasts by Ricky or a dozen other media people about how good Jett is. I can also see how good Jett is myself. What I'm looking for during the race from an expert is why rider A took that line, or how rider B's suspension is causing this to happen, or rider C just made a small mistake there which caused him to lose time. Everyone can see Jett is great, what I want to understand better is why...

What’s kinda cringe is this idiotic post.

You know, I've developed a certain expectation when I see an RCMartin406 thread. The quality is consistent here...it's just not great quality...

I don't think its cringe... he's their coach. He wants to communicate with them and keep them in the game like any good coach would. I think he does that extra stuff because he's right there talking to them and its convenient rather than someone else trying to do it while he's talking to them. Their agent that constantly hovers over them is cringe.

A bit of a comprehension problem, eh ?? Never said anything about caliber of rider. Was just commenting on how Jett, knowing what an ass barcia can be, took his time, and timed his pass well against him. BTW anyone pay close attention to barcia trying to repass Plessinger ?? Came within inches of his classic, take out, move. Jett knew he had to pass and sprint.

For a subject matter expert commentator I don’t find his technical insights all that insightful. He talks too much about what he likes or doesn’t like, what he did or didn’t do as a rider, and too often his contribution is just agreeing with something already said. James on the other hand spots small things and comments on how they pertain to the rider on the track or situation and how it is or was affecting their ride that day. I could possibly overlook Ricky’s other commentary shortcomings if he was delivering some value on the technical side but he...

Moto broadcasting in general is cringe. The powers at be literally cater to the non viewer. If you turn into any professional sport the announcers are not explaining the rules of the game. They call the game as if every person watching has played football. Thats how moto needs to be. Treat the audience like they race dirtbikes. The broadcast will improve ten fold. If you dont know the green bike is a kawasaki chances are your not interested in the sport to begin with.

Honestly I do tend to agree. Tbh, as long as it's not Ralph - I don't really give a fuck. The years of ralph and emig were AWFUL compared to any of the current configurations. I like Emig, hes a cool dude but good lord those were the times where you had to mute the tv.

Kenny needs to go undefeated in an Outdoor season before he even slightly mentions Jett's name in the media... And I am a huge Kenny fan. Jett deserves all the praise for doing what he's done this whole year at his age.

I guess Ken feels the same way I did last winter when every week we had a new episode of the Roczen saga... What's he gonna do? What bike will he be riding? "Whatever! Enough!! I don't give a f***!!!" At least, Jett is actually doing something more outstanding than choosing a bike...

RC must have some pictures of Bondo that he doesn’t want anyone to see and Bondo has similar on DC. What else could explain the obsession with mediocrity for the broadcast??
