I’ve noticed that all fuel injected 2 strokes don’t sound right since they first came out. It’s like there’s a rag stuffed in the airbox and it can’t breath. Carson Brown recently posted a video of him riding a bike that came fuel injected, but had a carb conversion kit put on it. I think it was a KTM 150 and it sounded amazing. Very barky and crisp. I believe these conversion kits are for sale. I hope I’m wrong, but this new KX327 sounds like a stifled piece of junk.

Agreed. Both Sexton and Prado rode the bike and thought it had enough potential to be a championship winning machine - with the right setup and mods. Both ran into a brick wall - after getting into the ins and out of the race team.

Marchbanks is riding for money and for his livelihood. Prado has money. Prado wants to win. He felt the team wasn’t delivering a bike capable of winning, wasn’t making the changes, was complement. He had to leave to get back to being capable of titles So your point is great and I agree it’s not holding marchbanks back per se, but also what options does he have? It’s fun to go back and see how many here, main media guys etc thought sexton would be beating Prado, let alone marchbanks too. Marchbanks is doing well for his level, but he isn’t Prados level at all. It’s clear the kawi has sexton as uncomfortable as he’s ever been. He really didn’t do anything near as bad as you all make it out to be. He was honest in interviews, saying the bikes not where it needs to be, he’s waiting on the team to get it there. He could win if the bike is right. The budds scenario he was coming into the pits asking for changes , had his fast laps ruined, never got a clean lap, everyone ran with the deliberately tried to not qualify story. Meanwhile he finished like 5th overall for the season… better than sexton and marchbanks this year… He was proven right...

Props to Prado for steadfastly believing he was right no matter what people said, knowing his true capabilities and be willing to put his reputation on the line to prove it to himself. Well done young man.

Its very plausible, not naive. For some of these life long racing families, this isnt hard to fathom. Maybe not six bikes but one or two. In the 90's there were teams built around top amateurs graduating to the pros and not everyone made the 125 Mains. They were dropped at the end of the season. Adam Enticknap famously did not make the main event MANY times. Same team: Kyle Chisolm had a string of near misses. Both were fully supported racers. I am sure there are other teams in the past that escape me. I think Ty was sniffing...

Since the Colorado location was specifically mentioned in this thread, I feel it is fair to give my side of the story. I can only speak about my own documented experience. I owned and operated an established suspension business before entering the TBT franchise relationship. I paid the franchise fee and completed training because I believed I was purchasing an organized franchise system with manuals, documented procedures, technical support, clear parts requirements, marketing assistance, and value from the TBT name. That was not what I experienced. I repeatedly had to chase basic information, follow up on unanswered emails and messages...
