I'm in the same boat. I'm at just over 40 hrs and lost several bolts within the first couple hours, but haven't had much of an issue since. I didn't loctite anything, but did use antisieze on a lot of bolts and retorqued them. My only regular issue is the spokes. The ones around the rim lock loosen after every...
When I bought my bike early this year, the dealers first bike (mine was second) was back in the shop getting a motor replaced by KTM due to oil leaking out through the metal on the case. They said it was a manufacturing defect or something like that. So talk to your dealer.
I have them 12mm up. I started at 2mm and then tested 5/8/10mm before settling on 12mm. I was nervous just to jump to the mag suggestion, but It works the best here, it just is tough to make clicker adjustments. So if anyone has found the large aluminum adjusters for this fork, let me know. Mine also are extremely...
After now having the bike for a couple months, I have found a setup now that I like but have came to realization that I need a new rear spring. I am ~200 lbs and just not getting the sag and rear charcatistics that I like. I am barely able to get the sag to ~104mm. With 9-10 hrs on...

I have an '02 and had to play quite a bit with the jetting to get it to rev clean. I had to lean out the pilot and the main and still had quite a stutter before hitting the band. I dropped the need one clip and WA LA. Take into account that I'm at low elevation in central California...
I've had the same. The response from Tonynz is what always works. In talking to several others, I have also heard the WPS battery had better cranking amps than the stock battery. For $110, it may be worth a change. Installed my bike coming into a corner in slippery, wet conditions at a race last weekend and due to the...
I have heard very similar from other local FE guys as well. A full pipe or at least a slip on helps low end pop. I just can't see why the akro slip on would have such a negative other than the inner screen. Four strokes are not that pipe sensitive. I have also been looking to re-gear. I will...
I'm thinking of pulling the can and removing the inner screen as there is little other reason why another brand slip on should have such a positive impact. I guess I better also buy one of those TPS tools so I can get the right TPS setting. My bike doesn't start as crisp as I would expect and think this...
Yes we are... When even the Lawman goes orange, you know the world has turned! As for the forks, I had not raised them for my first couple rides. After Sunday, I went from 5mm (std) and moved them up to 8.5mm and will be trying them at Club tonight.
I hear you on the settings. I got the sag close on Sunday and it helped things move, but my setup wasn't working for the rough braking bumps in the afternoon. I also noticed the turning went out a bit after sag set. So I am going back to the base and starting over now that I have the sag...
I bought it and mounted it up Friday night. It works great, but I think I am going to order the Acerbis one as well... especially with the one bolt on-off. I couldn't find one last week and their direct site showed back ordered until mid June. So the Power Parts it was. The four bold removal isn't too bad...
Finally picked up my bike today and went straight to the track to start break in. Unfortunately I did not have my bike stand, so I couldn't set up sag, so my settings for the ride got the bike somewhat comfortable. I'll try to get it set tomorrow as I get my second hour of break in. My first impression...
Bum deal for your buddy. Glad these aren't first year, pre-production forks otherwise a lot of people would be running back to KTM for repairs. This likely is just the one off problem that creates a nightmare for a few guys every year, independent of brand. I hope it stays to only a couple. Although the CVs sound like a...
I'm right there with you on that! Mine arrives in April and I've been getting prepped for it. Sold my 450, ordered full plastic set and getting graphics done right now. It's most painful when I hear of a bike being available at another dealer. Rather than screw over my current dealer, I'm being patient... But it ain't easy! I...

Hackfro Added a reply to AER48 issues?

In a review that I read, the AER forks are longer than the 4CS forks and therefore must be slid up in the clamps 12mm. That settles down the front and puts the geometry back where it was initially designed. I haven't ridden the bike yet to validate (April delivery) but this is what I read.
