A local guy here his name is aggressive graphics. I had a set left over from my last years bike that were the same as yours. I almost ran them but got a great deal on the right ones

Anyone using motorex oil in their 450? What's all this talk about rotella oil. Is it good oil for this bike?

I just received some graphics for my sons kx85 from NStyle, and saw they had the 2016 TLD plate graphics (they actually have em all ) so I ordered a set.

Now that I look, the blue tip at the end won't shore up, there is no blue on the rear.

I'll let ya know how they turn out on the 450

Regarding the Akra muffler, IT'S NOT A SPARK ARRESTER, at all, never was...The screens are noise suppression...The Akra is a joke, they shoulda put the fmf on the 450, same one as the 250fe, on it, IMO

How do you guys like the seat covers? I saw they now sell it as just the cover so I bought one because I always liked the look and feel but don't know any one that had ridden with one. Guess I should have asked before I ordered it haha.

I've had a bunch of different seat covers and rib combos and this is by far the best one I've had. Almost stay too planted. You will not be disappointed

Is it the orange one? Bolts right up to the stock brake arm?

Hammerhead makes one too that is really nice. Just bolts right to the stock pedal.

Some of the graphics are laminated into the plastic, the others peel off with a little ease but beware of the rad shroud ones, the glue is the knarliest i have ever met, acetone, lacquer thinner even gas doesn't get it off ended up having to use brake cleaner and 320 grit paper

Finally picked up my bike today and went straight to the track to start break in. Unfortunately I did not have my bike stand, so I couldn't set up sag, so my settings for the ride got the bike somewhat comfortable. I'll try to get it set tomorrow as I get my second hour of break in.
My first impression is that that bike is easy to turn (I had a KX450F prior). The forks were stiff per stock, so I took out two pounds and slowed the rebound and it made it a lot better. The rear was a little bouncy, so I slowed the rebound and the compression two clips. This helped, but without knowing my sag, I was adjusting blind.
So this weekend I'll be putting on new plastics, graphics and skid plate along with a little bling (thought it was odd they don't have a rear disk guard standard).

Has anyone ordered the Ktm power parts plastic skid plate? Looks like it's made by Cycra? I had a cycra plastic plate on my Honda for 3 years, held up great, for MX. I have 2 hrs on my bike now, all at a rough sand track, forks feel pretty stiff with 156lbs of air, not much of an issue on the sand track but thinking may be too stiff for hardback square edge track, anyone have good baseline settings for the forks in hard pack yet? vet/Sr. A rider.

I just got the Acerbis skidplate, it was only 75€ so way cheaper than the KTM powerparts skidplate. And it's really easy to mount and remove when you wash the bike. Literally only one bolt so you can remove it within 20 seconds!

I bought it and mounted it up Friday night. It works great, but I think I am going to order the Acerbis one as well... especially with the one bolt on-off. I couldn't find one last week and their direct site showed back ordered until mid June. So the Power Parts it was. The four bold removal isn't too bad as the mounts will be lined of after the first install.

I went from 156psi(10.8bar) to 144psi (9.9bar) and opened clickers. Im 170lbs (77kg) vet rider.
Front end was better just after couple hours, just have to check pressure every time. Damping side
also builds up pressure as its get warm after 30mins at track in cold mornings, you can feel By touching
fork after ride. Bottoming resistance is good, even too low pressure front will just run lower and feel empty but wont hit bottom too easy.

Shock didnt take sharp square edge holes in. I had to open all, slow-, highspeed and rebound to get it better.
Couple clicks doesnt make big difference untill you find right spot.
Im also running 45 spring as 48 is original.

Absolutely stunning bike.

Congratulations.

I have the 2015.5 450, but I prefer the added white and misc orange plastic on the 2016.5 better. I have already added the orange frame guards, rear fender, and fork guards to mine. I will get the orange radiator guards once they become available.

Forks will soften up a lot when you get the sag set, if it is too soft right now, which puts more weight aft and makes forks stiff/harsh. Also, traditionally, the rebound on WP forks has a huge effect on initial compression. Going softer (faster, clicks out) on your rebound will make the forks seem softer initially as well. Not trying to insult your intelligence, just tryin to help a brotha out.

I hear you on the settings. I got the sag close on Sunday and it helped things move, but my setup wasn't working for the rough braking bumps in the afternoon. I also noticed the turning went out a bit after sag set. So I am going back to the base and starting over now that I have the sag and 3.2 hours on suspension. I should have known better testing without setting sag.

I will try the other direction on shock rebound in next test. I had some other feedback that stated similar. Thanks.

Yes we are... When even the Lawman goes orange, you know the world has turned!

As for the forks, I had not raised them for my first couple rides. After Sunday, I went from 5mm (std) and moved them up to 8.5mm and will be trying them at Club tonight.
