I had a chance to ride the fully stock 2022 KTM 350 SX-F yesterday afternoon and played with ECUs and AER fork settings. Current summary: (1) Stock ECU is weak, right away made me question 350s (2) TZR reprogrammed stock ECU is gooooood. Map 2 with and without traction control is quite excellent. This alone made the bike "a keeper" for me, assuming I'd have to go up a few teeth on the rear for some more low-end grunt + a full exhaust. (3) Finally tried the Twisted Development programmed Vortex ECU and for me it was even better than...

Very easy. He was better than everyone else. His 03 CR250 bike set up is to this day, in my opinion, the worst bike to ever win a championship. It was close in SX with Chad though who won maybe the last 6? RC was an absolute machine. In his career, he only had the best bike for 1 of his championships, the 2004 Nationals on the CRF450. The rest of them, he beat everyone and the best bike. On his KX125 days, Windham's or Factory Yamaha 125s were better. In his KX250/RM250 days, the Yamahas were better. In his...

Okay, I must come clean. I was at the bar and was wearing a moto jersey that I ironed a big #1 onto the back. I recently stubbed my toe so I was walking with a limp but was telling everyone there that I just had a nasty crash over the weekend but still won every race I entered. (Currently 56-0) My game and lies were tight, I was pulling mad chicks and then this dude named Bobby comes up and tries to befriend me. I said my name was Kevin. I told him I know RJ and CC because...

2001 that @GE217 is just about finished up building for me. I started off planning on a Mcgrath build, until I came across the PC front end on eBay, and decided to go for something a bit different. Couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out! 2014 Pro Circuit Showa A-kit forks and clamps 2009 Enzo built...

The Phoenix bars, like most other 1 1/8" bars come with the standard "fatbar" style bar pad. That's fine for many, but we prefer the look of a traditional crossbar, plus it's a nice spot to put a watch. I don't like the extra weight of the crossbar or the extra stiffness it adds, though. So we came up with a design that solves both of those issues. We're using machined aluminum ends bonded to a carbon fiber tube. The ends hold rubber isolation mounts and attach to the bars with 3D printed, glass-filled nylon, clamps. It’s really light at...

I'm pretty certain it has to be specific to the size of the rotor (e.g., a different part for 260, 270, or 280). My bet is people looking to go this route are looking for more braking power (in addition to better feel, etc.), so skipping the 260 makes sense. It would also be likely that people have already gone down the oversized rotor path in search of what they want, but still need a little more (so they already have the rotor). The 270 is a pretty popular size, and the newer bikes come with it stock, so that...

Back when I was riding YZ's, I wanted to do this, but like most of you I couldn't find anyone to take on the project for a reasonable cost. I don't have any YZ's anymore to take measurements from, but now work as an ME and have a machine shop and would be willing to do the design/machine work for much more reasonable cost than stated above. I would need to get accurate dimensions of mounting locations/offsets from someone though. If someone is interested in this, please reach out!

We might be willing to take this on. Would you guys be willing to pay $129.95 for a Brembo to YZ bracket (just the bracket only)? And would you want it to fit the stock sized disc or an oversized disc? If oversized, 270 or 280?

Sometimes it doesn't matter how fit you are and how clean your diet is you can still be a walking time bomb. I've been into fitness and a gym rat since 9th grade or about 50 yrs. I turn 65 this summer. My diet has been 100% clean most of that time and never smoked, drink maybe once every two yrs , do drugs or any unhealthy habits. Last week I had three separate heart attacks. The first one was outside near my girlfriends horses fence and it felt like someone was standing on my chest and it was very...

With a small number of final bikes for us to test, it wasn't possible for them to invite 40-50 media from around the world for a one or two day test. Instead it's been spread out over about 10 test days for everyone to get their time in and be fair on the product we put out to the public. Instead of the first few test groups rushing to put out whatever videos we can. KTM by example took the opposite approach on their new model range, inviting the US media out to Red Bud for a one day test...
