I've been on this hunt ... no dice ... so far.

Trick Engineering was open to making me a custom bracket, but I recall it was going to be ~ $700, so I stopped pursuing that avenue.

However, there was a lead I was *going to* pursue here (based on another Vital Member's post):
https://oemdirtbikeparts.com/product/dirt-bike-front-brake-brembo-calip…

Clearly there is a Brembo bracket for Yamahas given this ^^^ ... so how do you get one of these? That's where I'd start.

I can get that caliper with the hanger for sure. Just trying to locates a hanger first. My local ktm can get me the caliper with hanger though, I’ve talked to them about it. About a 2 week wait time for it.

Back when I was riding YZ's, I wanted to do this, but like most of you I couldn't find anyone to take on the project for a reasonable cost. I don't have any YZ's anymore to take measurements from, but now work as an ME and have a machine shop and would be willing to do the design/machine work for much more reasonable cost than stated above. I would need to get accurate dimensions of mounting locations/offsets from someone though.

If someone is interested in this, please reach out!

If you get them to a reasonable cost I think you’ll be able to sell a decent amount.

Paging Luxon. We chatted ages ago when I had RMs, and made some measurements but there were higher priorities

We might be willing to take this on. Would you guys be willing to pay $129.95 for a Brembo to YZ bracket (just the bracket only)? And would you want it to fit the stock sized disc or an oversized disc? If oversized, 270 or 280?

I'd buy one. If it could be slightly oversized to enable both 270 and 280, that would be ideal (for my undecidedness).

Yes! Currently set up for a standard size rotor, but willing to change it, if oversized has more interest.

I'm pretty certain it has to be specific to the size of the rotor (e.g., a different part for 260, 270, or 280). My bet is people looking to go this route are looking for more braking power (in addition to better feel, etc.), so skipping the 260 makes sense.

It would also be likely that people have already gone down the oversized rotor path in search of what they want, but still need a little more (so they already have the rotor). The 270 is a pretty popular size, and the newer bikes come with it stock, so that probably makes the most sense.

Stock YZ rotor is already 270mm. YZ's have never had a 260 rotor. Prior to going to 270 some years ago, the stock was 250mm I believe.

Makes sense. I prefer the 270 on my KTM, so this should be the same.

Running a 13 CRF MC/07 YZF caliper on my YZ450FX and a 13 Honda CRF MC/08 KTM caliper on my 08 300. The engagement and power build is a bit nicer with the Brembo caliper. Anyone know what the caliper piston diameters are between those two (07 YZF Nissin vs 08 KTM Brembo)? More importantly, does anyone know what changes there were through the years with the Brembo caliper piston diameters?

I think I have another couple Brembo calipers floating around, so I could be interested in one of these brackets. 270mm rotor from a 2016 YZF fork lug would be the application.

Let us know if you're "a go!" on this and I'll pay now.

We'll have a YZF450 here next week to measure up, so it shouldn't be too long before we have the design sorted. Add a week for programming, fixturing, and machining, plus another week or two for anodize, and they should be ready to go.

Excellent - looking forward to it!

I vote for Luxon's awesome blue or black anodizing, BTW.

I think it might be the same as the suzuki one I sent... Nissan caliper? Sure they all share the same pads etc.

Any luck on this? Been a few months now, I’m sure you’re super busy. Any updates would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We hit a bit of a delay... Our office lease was up and a new spot opened up nearby that was a much better fit. So we moved locations somewhat unexpectedly. That slowed things down by about a month and a half as it took WAY longer than expected to get up and running again. But as of last week, we're 100% going, we're just getting caught up on some inventory that got low during the move.

I've got a Yamaha sitting here, so I just need to find some time to get that going, which more than likely will happen this week. I'll start a thread in the tech section as we make progress with some photos so everyone can follow along.

Not trying to poach the thread, but I'm looking to move from a Brembo master on my GG to Nissin (honda). The MC has about 9-10 hours use. If anyone wants it, make me an offer. Not so much as a scuff on it. Model year 2022.

Billy, I'm interested as well; I currently run a full Nissin setup (YZ caliper, CRF master cylinder, KTM hydraulic line), but on my new 450 I'd love to be able to swap my WP AER forks for my bitchin' KYB's and keep the stock brakes (set up for 270mm rotor).

Zero progress since that last post, unfortunately. It's an insane time of year getting everyone ready for Supercross on top of various other commitments. I'm hoping to get back on this in January once things have slowed down a touch. Sorry for the delay!
