The factories aren't going to re-cast in order to make 200 and 300 4 strokes to compete against 125 and 250 2 strokes. But the AMA could at least allow 250 2 strokes to race in the 250 class. Another thing that would...

But, there are some other grey area factors and details that go into understanding these two, very different, and yet similar, iron horses. [b]When...

Counter steering and target fixation explained well. (WARNING! might be disturbing for some) When I started road racing I wnt to a Suzuki school w/ Dave Aldana. He explained it well and it knocked seconds off of my lap times. We call it tipping in.

Ride laps of a track sitting down but don't put your foot out through corners. You'll feel what Gary means. I'm from a road race background, unfortunately I still carry my elbows down too much haha

Through most motocross corners, you are steering with the front wheel. I say most because sometimes, riders are steering with the rear wheel by using the rear brake or throttle. When steering with the front wheel, most riders don’t really know how they are doing it. That’s hard to believe, right, but it’s true. Okay then, before reading any further...

I know of a private track in Smithfield, NC. It's 40 minutes south of Raleigh, real close to Interstate 95. I know the owner (Steve Lassiter), so he let's me ride there and do private lessons. He does allow some friends and friends of friends ride there for 25.00. See more at... @moto95NC. Let me know if you want to...
