Just wanted to give a quick ride report for anyone that wants to ride these things in the woods. Over the weekend I raced a hare scramble on mine, all stock besides a pro circuit slip on and forks revalved for moto. This bike is super fun in the trees, the course was 10 miles of tight singletrack, Rocky creeks, and some good whooped out uphills. I will mention a couple things that have not been talked about. Comparing it to my 2018 KX250F I ran for 3 years, the first thing that jumped out at me was the more open rider triangle. I noticed it as soon as I sat on the bike. I normally run lowered pegs and the bars in the forward hole turned back. Took a 34 year complete absence from riding any kind of motorcycle. Raced fanatically from 74-80. Got my Pro card in 77, got balled up pretty good a couple of times and finally hung it up in 1980 . Personally I like small feeling, Lite, easy to ride, good handling, smooth power delivery. What bike would yall recommend? I'm 5,9 185 Regardless of weight I feel like a 450 is more power than I want.

All this talk about motors, motors, motors - how about how each bike FEELS? I've had both the YZF and the KTM. The Yamaha felt large and roomy, and I didn't care for that. So I sold it. I read all the comparison tests, and a consensus of the testers said the KTM feels the most tight and compact - so I bought one. They were right. It almost feels like an 85 by comparison. I prefer the KTM by a large margin, but that's just me, a guy who's always liked smaller bikes. Some guys prefer the exact opposite...
