mxryan25 Added a reply to YZ250 vs Fuel injected Austrian 250's
12/19/2023 5:33pm I’ve owned multiple yz250’s, currently own a carb ‘22 250sx and ridden a new ‘23 250sx. While the new TBI bikes may have some bugs, the overall package is leaps and bounds ahead of the yz250. I would go with an austrian bike.
urbanlift707 Liked a reply to forum topic So who switched from a carb 300sx to a FI 300sx? Thoughts?
11/12/2023 4:23pm I’ve had a 20 and 21 300sx, both were built by twisted with decked heads and minimal porting. I’ve got 69 hours on my 23 300 now, new piston was installed at 55 hours. It looked good but was def a good time to change it. My first 50 hours was stock mapping, in stock trim I like my older motors more but it wasn’t a huge difference. I like to run 3rd as much as possible so I want my bike to light up fast with minimal clutch. I felt my older ones were a tad bit faster and...

mxryan25 Added a reply to 20 vs 22mm offset Austrian bikes
12/17/2021 9:12am Are you running the stock forks ? A good spring fork (cone valve, KYB, ohlins) will feel more planted, more plush, and less vague. That’s why I’m back on Japanese bikes
mxryan25 Added a reply to 20 vs 22mm offset Austrian bikes
12/17/2021 9:08am Yes The front end felt heavy and more twitchy, which even with the standard offset the Austrian bikes don’t have the most stable front end feel. Flat corners were noticeably worse, rutted turns felt fine but not really any better than stock. Also made the front end/chassis feel a little more rigid. I ride local A, only rode it one...

12/17/2021 8:41am Maybe it’ll give you what you’re looking for but I tried 20mm and was not a fan. It’s very simply to do, unthread the nut on the bottom of the bottom clamp which allows it to separate from the stem, then rotate the stem 180° and reinstall
