Anyone experiment much with the different offsets?
Just ordered factory gasgas split clamps for the more positive front end feel.

I want less push and less vague in the corners.

So this can be done with the factory edition split clamps?

When you do the work, can you take a few how to pics please?

Sure I’ll take some pics.

Looks like they come with the stem and bearing already installed so should drop right on besides swapping over the bar mounts and controls will be the most tedious part.

Maybe it’ll give you what you’re looking for but I tried 20mm and was not a fan. It’s very simply to do, unthread the nut on the bottom of the bottom clamp which allows it to separate from the stem, then rotate the stem 180° and reinstall

What did you feel? What’s your style, speed, tracks etc?

Coming from a yamaha, but offset is offset, I made that change-to 20mm from stock which is either 22 or 22.5 I believe. Did exactly what you’re saying you want it to. Gets a little twitchy but I’m happy with the trade off

Yes

The front end felt heavy and more twitchy, which even with the standard offset the Austrian bikes don’t have the most stable front end feel. Flat corners were noticeably worse, rutted turns felt fine but not really any better than stock. Also made the front end/chassis feel a little more rigid. I ride local A, only rode it one day at soggy bottom mx in KY, tighter, rutty clay based track

Are you running the stock forks ? A good spring fork (cone valve, KYB, ohlins) will feel more planted, more plush, and less vague. That’s why I’m back on Japanese bikes Laughing
