4/1/2025 9:34pm Hi all, Quick question. helping my buddy resurrect his 05 YZ250 n are working on finishing up the SSS conversion. With all yz250 2t parts ranging in year from 2006-2016 (see below) I’m thinking everything should bolt up pretty well. 8/16/2024 9:22pm Thank you! But, it’s all Jim Haeseker. Same guy who built the 07 crf450 motor for keefer, as well as steinke’s 125 which was the last to qualify for a 250 main in SX. Don’t want this to sound like gloating— it’s really that Jim is phenomenal at all things motors. Hope that makes sense! 🫠

I'm gonna go against the grain on this one and say no more that 100mm of sag and forks about 5mm up. I'm a little bit on the taller side at 6' and have some decent leverage on the bike, so for me I'll gladly trade some stability for a more planted front end. The YZs and RMs have always felt low and long to me and I want weight on the front even in the sand.

My 2016 YZ125 with VHM engine kit, and new 2024 bodywork Engine: stock bore, long rod crank, long rod VHM billet piston, VHM billet cylinder head, Vforce4 reeds, boyesen engine covers, Pro Circuit pipe/silencer. Suspension : Total Control DialedN with Xtrig preload adjuster , stock springs . Tires: Dunlop Geomax MX33 F&R . Other: Renthal Stewart bars, ASV levers, Galfer stainless braided brake lines, JGR adjustable subframe, DID chain, GYTR sprockets, Polisport 2024 restyle bodywork with the D'Cor visuals Star Yamaha Retro graphics .
