4/18/2019 6:02am I put a 1985 IT200 pipe and silencer on mine to really let it "breath". Fit was actually pretty darn close. Charlie St. John definitely had to rework the pipe/silencer junction and modify the pipe mount to the frame somewhat but it all fit perfectly after he was done. I'm assuming 83 and 84 pegs are the same. I found pegs for a early yz80 (I think 86) that look just like Pro Circuit pegs that fit might fit your bike. At some point yz80/85 pegs changed to the same as newer YZ big bike pegs that won't work. Again I'm not sure but to give you direction, I believe early XR pegs like XR350 pegs will work also . I put RM80 foot pegs on my 1985 KX 125, they are perfect. Not sure 84s are the same but it worth a look. Jon

2/5/2019 8:26am wr74 send the cylinder to Millenium, they can fix it and replate it and it will come back better than new. They have saved at least 6 vintage/post vintage cylinders for me over the last 4-5 years.

MaxPower, if you could post a copy of the frame strengthening article it would be greatly appreciated. I've had my 84 125 for a few years now, but its just been sitting in the garage waiting for my time to get it race ready again. It's a relatively low hour bike. I just took the cylinder off tonight and a bit heartbroken to see the exhaust port bridge cracked right through. was this a common problem with this model? I guess its repairable... just thought i was through spending money on this beauty, i guess not. Took me the last...

9/3/2018 12:01pm I agree. I don’t know what happened but I can’t see any photos in any older restoration thread. All of them have some “update third party hosting” message. Frustrating as some of those threads are/were a great resource.

I personally wear a Fox Proframe over or under the jersey (usually over) with an Atlas Air brace on top with the straps. I don’t understand how people don’t use the straps for these neck braces, it would drive me crazy having it float around over jumps and whatnot. The brace rests on top of the chest protector, which is nice because I don’t worry so much about how the impact would be on my collarbone if it was resting on it instead.
