DenlingerMoto Started a new thread RARE Yz 125 FMF Ignition Cover (94-04)

Bought this a while back for my 2004 yz 125 build, but ended up not actually putting it on.... I bought it from an ebay ad 2 years back and I've done all sorts of searching to try and find its original origins. These were never for sale from FMF and I have never seen another one like it. Looking...

DenlingerMoto Started a new thread 2004 YZ Pro Circuit Holeshot Device

Up for sale is a used Pro Circuit holeshot device off of a 2004 YZ 125. Has some slight wear from the fork guard, but still in great useable condition. Will come with all mounting hardware ( no stripped heads/threads). I assume this is probably only for 2004 YZ's as they were a unique year for forks, but I'm not...

I updated the bike with the correct Yamaha of Troy 2005 graphics seat cover and the rest of the bits I collected. Plasticwerks front number plate and front disc guard, carbon ignition cover and returned to the the FMF pipe and silencer, ymc clutch perch and front brake, etc. Rolled it outside and took some pics:

Since it's a little slow nowadays in our little dirt bike world and since I have some free time, I decided to work on my second project bike... Here are some progress photos... Bought this 2000 YZ125 for $1200 while I was doing my first project bike, the 2003 YZ250... The idea was to build it kinda like the bike I raced in 1998 in the West Coast series... I got most of the parts vapor blasted. Found some similar old school blue Applied triple clamps on eBay. Got the frame powder coated using a powder...

Here are a few pictures of how I've ended up so far. I finally got things together yesterday. I did the 2000/2004 power valve spring swap, and man - the spring from the 2000/2004 is noticeably stiffer, and you can even see the spring diameter is larger. I put on a new set of MX33's and this is the first tire change this bike has ever had.The clutch looked brand new. I replaced the fiber plates with new, and I'll keep the old as a spare set if needed. The bike came with an FMF GYTR Shorty, but I repacked...

I don’t understand Barcia. He will run it in on anybody then once it’s done to him he plays victim and cries about it

Pulled out power valve assembly and studs today, and I’ve decided on a new OEM cylinder. I’ll order that up tomorrow and still likely send this one off to be fixed and have a spare if ever needed. Also straightened a few out of place fins one one radiator, and have a little push in damage on the other. It doesn’t leak, but I’ll be taking it to a local radiator shop to be fixed to like new. My cylinder is supposed to be in the first week of March so thinking I should be able to have the entire...

I swooped some of those clamps last year during the sale and ended up with 2011 YZ250F forks. To center the wheel I believe you need to remove 1mm of material from disc side spacer. Yamaha changed the fork spread on certain years (2006+ I think) and offset the lugs, also changed axles and spacers at some point, but were pretty consistent on using the same hub. 02-20 are the same for the YZ125/YZ250. Anyways, I just wanted to respond and let you know the forks I purchased fit and clamped just fine. In case you're still shopping around for...

What's up guys?! I don't post a whole lot on here, but I'm too excited about how this bike turned out to not post about it. I bought this bike from a guy in Maryland in October of 2018. At that point, it was a rolling chassis with the motor all torn apart and thrown in multiple boxes. Here's pictures...

That is awesome!! Clutch cover makes it look like the bike has had very low hours... 04 yz's are where its at! Have fun with the build. I'll be tuned in.
In those pics, I have a turbinecore silencer on it from my brother's 2006 yz125. I have been switching back and forth a lot recently between that and the shorty, but I think I'm sold on the shorty. It's crazy how much of a difference just a silencer can make on the entire power curve. The shorty feels snappy and...
Long time without an update... It's been back together for a long time now and I have been able to put a bunch more hours on it. The more I ride it, the more I LOVE it! SSS feels awesome, love the flex of the steel frame, and the motor rips super strong. I ended up buying an ebay used...
As many others have said, 2004 is the easiest year for the swap because the stock 2004 triple clamps have the same upper / lower bore size as the older style SSS forks. Overall it really is a simple process, even if you would have to do the triple clamp stem swap for a 2002 or 2003. Here was my...
