Looking for a set of 04 YZ250 Pro Circuit clamps for my SSS swap. Hoping someone is holding an extra set form the big sale they had last year or so.

You may want to wait and see which year forms you end up with. 04 clamp is gonna bigger than 06+sss fork. I believe the 04 clamp is like 56mm and 59mm bores. Your gonna need a newer set of clamps or get the old clamps and slightly bore them.

I've got a set of forks off an 06 250F, I can measure them and make sure later, I thought they would be a direct swap with the older forks.

Probably just wind up using the stock clamps and modifying the steering stop on the frame if that's the case

04+ yz is 48mm to swap the 04 all you need is the forks, and wheel spacers (this may or not be needed i have 03 and was looking into it) there are tons of threads about this topic. But it's extremely easy with the 04 steel frame, since all you really need is the forks themselves, cuz that is the year they switched from 46mm to 48mm that currently use the SSS forks. Be aware that if you get 05+ up clamps you will need to switch out the stem.

48mm is the stanchions diameter as crguy stated the clamping diameter is different on the 04 & 05

I measured up the forks, they 56mm/59mm.

If anyone has any 04 clamps and could measure so I’m 100% before a set pops up that would be awesome.

I have all the 06stuff, like I said I just didn’t want to alter the stop on the frame right now, it will spiral out of control into a whole build/refresh

Everyone misses the fact that the old clamps have the forks on 190mm centers while the SSS clamps are on 192mm centers.
The fork lugs have this difference figured into them.

If you run SSS forks in a 190mm clamp, your wheel will not be centered relative to the steering axis of the motorcycle.

It is literally the same. Thousands of threads on this subject matter. 04+ all use the 48mm forks. 05+ use the SSS system.

You are missing what he is saying. Yes they are both 48mm forks, what makes then 48mm forks is the lowers on a fork (the chrome part.) Just because the lowers are the same does not mean the fork uppers (the part that goes through the clamps is the same). Almost every manufacturer from 09-18 used 48mm forks but that does not mean they can all use the same triple clamp. You measure the clamping areas on the uppers of a fork and what Nial is saying is the clamping areas from 03/04 are different even though they have the same lower fork legs measuring 48mm. The term 48mm has absolutely nothing to do with triple clamps.

I think the 1mm offset issue is resolved with the wheel spacers from an 04?

Anyway, got a PM from some choad with the user name lucyray, telling me to email some guy and that he might have the clamps. This guy has no posts and only created the profile yesterday, so be warned.

I swooped some of those clamps last year during the sale and ended up with 2011 YZ250F forks. To center the wheel I believe you need to remove 1mm of material from disc side spacer. Yamaha changed the fork spread on certain years (2006+ I think) and offset the lugs, also changed axles and spacers at some point, but were pretty consistent on using the same hub. 02-20 are the same for the YZ125/YZ250.

Anyways, I just wanted to respond and let you know the forks I purchased fit and clamped just fine. In case you're still shopping around for the forks.

150 plus shipping I think one of the bar pinch bolts needs a heli coil theres the pro taper part number so you can figure out if they will work, not sure what the pin is outta I had them on a two stroke and a four stroke at different times

Part numbers shoulda be on the underside of the clamps-
