3/5/2025 6:38am RC just needs to log laps and take each race as a learning lesson. I'd actually much rather be in RC's position right now than DB, It's better to be on the backfoot.

1/4/2025 9:57am Kawasakis track along 1-15 in Corona is probably the easiest to watch, but you have to park somewhere and walk there. The rest of the tracks are on the other side of I-15, use google maps to find them. You can drive near them to watch, but stay back a bit. Kawasaki has a track at Glennhellen, but good luck watching them there. You can go to the track in Hemet and watch the privateers.

1/4/2025 9:55am I went up there a couple years ago when I was hurt and off of work just to put my eyes on it in person. There were only a few mechanics packing up as it was a little after lunch. I had the feeling that I wasn’t wanted and wasn’t supposed to be up there the whole 10 minutes so I left. Glen Helen has a SX track, Pala has a SX track and there is one in Hemet. These are frequented throughout the week. There were probably 20 guys at Pala yesterday on SX. Juju, Ryder D, Colt Nichols...

1/4/2025 9:55am A week out from A1, I doubt there will be much testing going on. These guys have also finished their boot camps and will probably spin a few early morning laps during the week to keep current. As for Pala (Fox Raceway) that's a motocross venue and you ain't gonna find any of the top pro's there this week. Your best bet is to hang out in Corona and hope that someone is doing some easy laps. As mentioned above, it's frowned apon so be discrete if possible but honestly I think you will be wasting your time. Enjoy A1...

1/4/2025 7:09am If I flew halfway across the world to watch a race, I’d sure as hell try to check out the test tracks, but I would keep my distance from the fences and not speak to anyone unless spoken to. The worst they can do is ask you to leave. You might get a really cool opportunity to watch some behind the scenes action and get a memory you will carry with you forever. I’ve been out there plenty of times myself, and checking out the tracks would certainly be on my list of things to do. Getting yelled at or...

1/3/2025 4:35pm Australian visiting the So Cal area this week and I’m curious if it’s possible to visit the corona Sx tracks to hopefully catch a glimpse of factory riders? Which days are most likely?

Not hillbilly Liked a reply to forum topic Most overdone stories / details
6/25/2024 9:17am Focusing on “stories” instead of the competition unfolding right in front of our eyes is due to an unfounded fear that the audience will get bored and tune out. It’s old school broadcasting think. Some might even call it journalism. But what we want, on race day, is competent COVERAGE. Save the stories for the podcasts after the race.

4/28/2024 7:18am I can only imagine how cringey the production meetings must be? I'm picturing an overly enthusiastic marketing person who talks his hands saying stuff like "Will, JT! When we pan to you guys talk about non race related stuff as fast as you can! It's all about building character and personalities! Ok? Brilliant! You guys can do it coz I know you can!" (Wink, thumbs up)

crt32 Liked a forum topic What Are They Doing Different?!
3/29/2024 8:02pm Just watched St Louis press day and the triple and finish line already look like a rut fest after only a few bikes. What's different than years past. If you watch the RV & JS7 year or the TP199 track the faces held up, and everyone was on four strokes, so what's different? Track prep? More aggressive tires? Something has changed and made the tracks worse.

CTA84 Started a new thread Tire knob size
2/5/2024 10:55am Not my idea but I heard someone mention it recently, if the knob height is reduced and made mandatory (spec tire) would it protect the tracks from breaking down so fast? 450s tear tracks apart, particularly the whoops, hopefully allow closer racing for the entire main event.

2/24/2020 4:00pm Why are people speculating what it is? It’s the rear shock. When he comes up short or drags a wheel on the down ramp it “squeaks” or even bangs.
