So as someone who is out there daily as someone in the industry, the tracks are usually able to be seen, if you do drive by, but it is pretty frowned upon as we are usually testing and trying things we don't want other teams to know about or the public to know about. I unfortunately don't recommend it as teams pay a huge sum to have access to a track up there for the exclusivity it provides us. Pala mx during the week you can catch a lot of guys usually too.
If I flew halfway across the world to watch a race, I’d sure as hell try to check out the test tracks, but I would keep my distance from the fences and not speak to anyone unless spoken to. The worst they can do is ask you to leave. You might get a really cool opportunity to watch some behind the scenes action and get a memory you will carry with you forever. I’ve been out there plenty of times myself, and checking out the tracks would certainly be on my list of things to do. Getting yelled at or kicked out will just add some flavor to your memory. This is California. We can’t even secure our borders and don’t prosecute smash and grab robberies in broad daylight. I can promise you there is no penalty for pulling over and watching dirt bikes.
I would think if someone wished for privacy they are entitled to it. I really do not understand the need for or feeling of deserving unlimited access to things or people who are not meant to be.
I remember back in 2018 around MXON we visited the KTM and Kawi test tracks. Still in my memory where Musquin was practicing and waving at us at the Triple. I think he was bored😂 We were watching from behind the fence, but you could watch most of the track

I went up there a couple years ago when I was hurt and off of work just to put my eyes on it in person. There were only a few mechanics packing up as it was a little after lunch. I had the feeling that I wasn’t wanted and wasn’t supposed to be up there the whole 10 minutes so I left. Glen Helen has a SX track, Pala has a SX track and there is one in Hemet. These are frequented throughout the week. There were probably 20 guys at Pala yesterday on SX. Juju, Ryder D, Colt Nichols, Justin Hill, some privateers and some futures guys.
A week out from A1, I doubt there will be much testing going on. These guys have also finished their boot camps and will probably spin a few early morning laps during the week to keep current.
As for Pala (Fox Raceway) that's a motocross venue and you ain't gonna find any of the top pro's there this week.
Your best bet is to hang out in Corona and hope that someone is doing some easy laps.
As mentioned above, it's frowned apon so be discrete if possible but honestly I think you will be wasting your time.
Enjoy A1...
FYI Fox has a SX track now.

Thanks Brocster, I was last at Pala 4 yrs back.
I'll check that vid out later when I'm on my laptop.
Kawasakis track along 1-15 in Corona is probably the easiest to watch, but you have to park somewhere and walk there.
The rest of the tracks are on the other side of I-15, use google maps to find them. You can drive near them to watch, but stay back a bit.
Kawasaki has a track at Glennhellen, but good luck watching them there.
You can go to the track in Hemet and watch the privateers.
