All valid points and appericiate the feedback. I’ve been hit up offer up and Craigslist,you just get the idiots that want to offer 2k and complain the bike is 20 years old or the ones that want to trade a bay liner. I’m in no rush to sell it but cash talks.

BUT, a person can't go out and buy a new RM250. This bike is nicely rebuilt, with upgrades, at a fair price, from a reputable person on this site. Good luck with the sale!

Star Yamaha should make Brennan a factory rider for a day. Give him a mechanic for a few practices to set the bike up for him and let him ride their full spec bike at mini o’s

Until now I assumed the motor was legal. Now I have to wonder. Why was Brian concerned about being defamed? Why so concerned about an engine builder seeing the engine? How could claiming the bike defame the Deegans more than their behavior has unless the bike was found to be illegal? The intimidation by both Brian and Haden will forever take them down in my eyes. Yamaha's behavior was reprehensible. Makes me embarrassed to ride blue. I hope they come clean, some heads roll and they make it right.

Number 1, is the kid is 100%, in the right. He had the money, he gets the bike. He should have told Deegan to beat it! Deegan, had no business saying one word to this kid! Bad look for Yamaha and Donnie Luce. If you don’t want a kid to claim the bike then don’t build a bike that’s worth more than the claiming rule amounts. It’s AMATEUR racing. Not pro racing for amateurs. The motors and suspension shouldn’t be the focus. Focus should be on the riders to develop and get better not to go Big Bore Brian on everyone and build the fastest engines. Sounds like it’s time for a stock engine rule like they have in karting.

There is no rule on the parts being off the shelf or that the bike has to be valued under the double MSRP. The claim rule is in place to ward off extreme exotic machines, since most teams wouldn't want to lose a 50-100k bike for $15,000-18,000.

Wow, definitely lost a lot of respect for the Deegans and Star/Yamaha hearing this. To threaten his sponsor and such also? AMA needs to step up and put Yamaha in line or remove the rule. Maybe us speaking with our wallets and not buying new blue for a while will get the point across.
