I picked this up a few months ago and only been able to ride it once. 2003 rm250. The original owner had two trips on it. Bike is completely redone top to bottom. Bike might have 4 hours on it since rebuild. Runs on vp t2. Motor brand new top to
Bottom,with a new oem Suzuki crank. New seals bearings the light out. New plastic and graphics. Cerakoted hubs and yellow excel wheels. Powder coated frame and swing arm. New chain and sprockets. Pro taper fusion bars. Full Hinson clutch set up. Pro taper clutch perch and lever,Mx33 tires. All metal see faces have had a brush to it where it looks brand new. This bike is emeculate. Bills cone pipe and silencer. Bike hauls and runs crisp. 5k possibly trade for a newer 250f or possibly 450f

When someone can go buy a brand new bike for 2500 more that is financed, with prices dropping btw, it makes it a hard sell for a 20 year old bike you have to pay 4800 cash on.

BUT, a person can't go out and buy a new RM250. This bike is nicely rebuilt, with upgrades, at a fair price, from a reputable person on this site.

OP’s bike is sweet, but kind of hard to throw the accessories/upgrades into the selling price of the bike. The guy who is looking for a pristine RM250 probably isn’t looking for one with a black restyle kit…

I gave up trying to sell my redone RM125 (for now at least) that had a title and I was asking $1500 less than you. I was just trying to get out of it what I put in it, not including the hours of labor involved as it was a winter project last year to keep me busy. The economy and everyone selling the bikes they bought during COVID has seem to hurt the market again. Your market is probably better out west with year round riding, so I am sure it adds to the value of bikes. I think you can pick up a new RMZ250 for about $5000-$5500 so the market is really just someone looking for a two stroke specifically. And anyone that knows these bikes knows the OEM parts are becoming very hard to find, so it hurts the sale too. Bike is very nice, just maybe wrong time if not getting any interest.

All valid points and appericiate the feedback. I’ve been hit up offer up and Craigslist,you just get the idiots that want to offer 2k and complain the bike is 20 years old or the ones that want to trade a bay liner. I’m in no rush to sell it but cash talks.
