Jett looked really good. But, Deegan has no quit and will no doubt get better, His second National and he's on the box. Pretty friggin impressive. He came through the pack also...so Deegs is doing just fine. If I were Jett, I'd be worried about this kid. He's going to win.

Anyone else noticed Deegan just shaking his head after moto 2 btw? Despite what he or some people say, he is NOT happy with that result and definitely expected to win. It's pretty cool that they will race eachother their whole 450 career basically because I don't think Deegan is someone who just thinks it's the bikes fault like Sexton, I think he will grind, make progress and do anything to get better over the next years. He kept Hunter behind him for the better part of the moto and Jett within a few seconds until he admittedly tightened up and got arm pump . Im not sure I’ve seen anyone besides Tomac or Chase do the same . Deegs being a rookie and accomplishing that while Tomac and Chase are seasoned vets says alot to me .

I’ll give you one example- villo in 09 got lapped once or twice in Supercross when he moved up- he was the furthest thing from a factor. Then at the end of the season, he beat everyone and then went on his run. Deegan just got third. THIRD. In his second 450 race. How you just write off the next ten years or potential battles is incredible

I can’t stand him, but you have to respect what he’s achieved and the hard work that got him there. He sucked in the sand, so he has the team go to Southwick to train. He sucked at woops, so he goes through them a few thousand times to learn them. His start weren’t great so he does start after start. He’s relentless in his preparation, and I think he will work just as hard on his 450 technique. Will he beat Jett? I don’t own a crystal ball, so I can’t say, but he’s going to make himself better.

IMO this is the best thing for him. I know most of the antics are all a character but dude puts in the work, has insane talent & at face value is doing extremely well. Losing by that much time will either make or break someone, in which I believe with him it will only motivate him more. Didn't he struggle at first in the 250's? No fanboi but I absolutely love watching someone talk so much shit then go back it up. Yeah he's not beating Jett or Hunter yet but he's damn closer than anyone else even Prado...

I don't think he's slow. I just think Jett, Hunter and Deegs have taken their riding to another level he can't match, and it's in his head. So he blame's the bike. He needs to take a good look in the mirror and get a good coach.

Healthy is part of it. If Jett gets hurt practicing or racing and Deegan wins that’s the way it goes. If Deegan is more resilient year over year then he deserves credit for practicing and racing within those limits.

He hasn’t missed any races due to injury unlike Jett, so there’s that.

Deegans rise has been over for 5 years, the first one was when he goes pro hes done. Everyone knows the rest of the story.

While I agree completely the smack talk before the season was painful, everyone seems soooo quick to forget that Jett was talking about beating MC’s 72 wins before he even lined up.. Jett copped a lot for that back then and now it’s just a distant memory

He'll beat Jett. He needs to figure it out. He's two races in. Before the season is over, he will get an overall.

It looked like he was hammering into the braking bumps while the brothers float over them better and flow faster into the mid corner. Watching how hard and deep his suspension was working in those bumps, its no wonder he pumped or and/or fatigued late in the race. I told the wife as it happened that I thought the heavier bike was beating him up and making him tired those last 10 minutes. To be the third fastest guy in 450's already is impressive and I think he'll get faster. Of course the brothers could too.

I’m estimating round 5 he gets a moto win
