Kawasaki should send someone away from Club to a local moto track and grab a couple moto dads to interpret what Prado is saying. Maybe someone used to trying to figure out what someone is describing without using industry terminology could help. Certainly couldn’t be worse than 19th.

I suspect Prado has no ability to setup a bike because of his successful background with one team and cant communicate what he feels versus what causes it in such a way that its just a puzzle. On a side note it was pretty funny listening to Phil stutter and stammer on Mondays Pulp show when he was asked if he had ridden Prados bike or not. And any question about the Kawi for that matter. JT$ picked up on the nervousness and started digging in. Funny stuff. Poor Phil.

Have we all forgotten he is coming off shoulder surgery? How long did it take for Eli to get back to speed? I know, Eli did 2 but shoulders are no joke. If you can't test at speed on a new bike, how do you know at actual race conditions, the best settings when speed picks up? Maybe his frustration is both physical and equipment induced? JMO

Prados team followed him east. Broc stayed in CA to test engines and would send them to Club MX overnight. His team was giving 110%. Part of the rub now is that some aren’t convinced Prado gave the same level of commitment or showed appreciation for their level of effort.

No one asks how is shoulder is? Why? I never even heard what happened...dislocation? torn labrum? rotator cuff? What was the scope of his surgery? Shoulders are no joke and it could be the reason he fades and then gives up entirely. I would like to hear more about that.

Have you ever noticed the riders often wear different colored boots, gloves and goggles? Those are the items they are free to choose. Not a huge level of individualism but a differentiation nonetheless.

Happy to, this came up on another thread recently, so apologies if this is a re-hash for some. We (THOR) tried putting each Star 250 rider in a different kit at every race a couple seasons ago - the riders liked to be individual and their mechanics / families liked being able to identify their guy more easily. It’s great in theory, but the labor for artwork setup, production, scheduling and tracking this stuff week in and out (in that season - nine riders x 32 events = 288 possible combinations) made this a cumbersome effort on our end. He has been getting top 2-3 starts for the last 3-4 weeks though so that theory doesnt hold up. Last week on pulp nicoletti dropped some knowledge that I hadnt heard anybody say yet, and phil kind of slipped up and said he doesnt know if hes allowed to say it. Hes on kawi too so hes a bit of inside knowledge. He said right now prado is struggling super bad with the suspension because hes used to wp air forks and picked showa spring forks before the season. I like how in every sport on earth time and experience is a good thing except moto. Moto apparently is like gas in a tank and it runs out. Some of you guys are downright goofy. Just because you checked out at an overweight and sad 30 doesn’t mean everyone else does.

Hammaker riding with tibial plateau fracture is wild..... usual treatment even for lowest classification of these is immobilization and either non weight bearing or partial weight bearing for 8-12 weeks...... meniscus tear probably in same location so there goes any cushioning that might have been there.... it might be non displaced right now but do not see this going well.....

Lewis you should corner Reedy, he’s got to have ridden Prado’s bike right? He’s usually not shy with giving his opinion and knows what a competitive bike is.

Really great interview! My takeaways. Eli - had to take some radical steps on setup to be more competitive and missed the mark, not much time in MX on this chassis but for SX it's dialed. Jorge - It's the bike and I can't tell you when it will be better, that's up to the team.
