Update * She's finished up. Fresh bore, seals, pistons, filter, some plastic and a custom-made silencer as the DG one looked hideous. Used IT400 Footpeg mounts to lower the pegs a little over 1" to help move around. Already took her for a rip and crashed.. lol

It was 1983 and I think it was a regional arenacross in Providence. JT broke his back racing in Australia in ‘82 and came back to Connecticut to heal up. I ran the New England Cycle Works racing team in ‘82 & ‘83 and also grew up in the next town over from Jimmy but he’s a few years older than me. I even did an interview with him for our high school newspaper in 1979. Anyway, I got ahold of Jimmy to see what his plans were and ended up offering him basically bikes and parts to race NESC...

We paid £1035 for ours , it was an awesome bike, we rode the crap out of it, it did a big end halfway through its second season, but other than that it never missed a beat . Yesterday we had a UK EVO race and there was a pre 83 class with a few of these in it, all were proper race bikes, no trailer queens, looking forward to adding mine to the fold at some point. Picked up a full rear end, with good links and rocker, and pivot , the original swingarm has cracks on the pivot...

The cops found my bike. I saw a picture of it painted black and rusting outside . It looks like a Taliban hostage. I don't have details other than it's in police impound and I'm going to restore it to race it again Thank you for everyone understanding and supporting me

Sorry for the self-indulgence… I have just been sent this great photo from the sadly now defunct Trials & Motocross News archives. That’s me on the back of Thorpey’s Honda RC500. I honestly can’t remember this even happening! I just sent David the picture and he thinks it might be MXdN-related. I raced alongside David in the 1985 Motocross des Nations at Gaildorf (plus our pal Kurt Nicoll, who sadly broke his leg in Saturday practice). Team GB finished fifth overall that weekend with just two riders. However, that photo is from 1986 judging by the gear we’re wearing. So...

Well - quite some time passed since i posted the last time here...i continued riding after breaking 3 vertebrae in a freak MTB crash last september BUT this year i did all my cycling on the streets. So doing lots of miles on paved roads only. Usually i did like 50% of my cycling with Mountainbikes as well but my last injury with 3 broken vertebrae had me re-start on smooth roads and i just kept riding my roadbike ever since. Not that i won't hit some singletrails later on but since i'm actually leading the italian vintage championships i...

Denmark Mx is having another race on 7-9. They had a race on 6-18 not much notice on that 1. They hv 70,80,90,s vintage other classes 100-201 cc, 201-250cc, 251-500cc, 65,85. Table top jumps , floaters off the hills. 50 for unlimited classes gate fee now 10. Www.rpaoffroad.com Great flowing track , unique start.
