Americans have such a narrow point of view. Inflation and shortages are happening across the world, in most places much worse than here. These are issues that are much bigger than political distaste. We would be in roughly the same position no matter which side was in charge right now.

The only problem in your scenario is that none of that happened. First, it was 100+ degrees, second, nobody turned off their AC, third the power never got cut. The state made an announcement that we are nearing capacity and maybe it would be nice to try to cut a little electricity usage to help.
