I'm in the process of restoring a 490J and was wondering what the best course of action is for finding replacement thrust bearings for the rear shock linkages?
Your local bearing house should be able to help, that is if there still is such a thing. A bearing house is (was?) A business that specializes in bearings, any kind or type EVER made. They supply every and all Industries. Look for an industry code # on the bearing and start . Start with the yellow pages in your phone book. Google I mean.
Have you checked going OEM? I looked quickly on Rocky Mountain and see a lot of parts are still available.
