some good news posted from Emily today: This is Emily... Stephen wanted to make sure to tell everyone thanks for helping at the track and especially for helping to keep him calm. His spinal cord wasn't severed. Right now they are just waiting for the swelling to go down and they are hoping to know more within the next 72...
Probably nerves... As a C rider I had the shits before every race haha.. And I pissed every 5 min before my race it seemed like. I always got really nervous for some reason, especially when I'd be at a new track or when something got switched up..

What about the dude on the Kawi that came up completely short on the triple by the start... He managed to ride off to behind the mechanics then the asterisk crew wrapped up his arm and took him out.. I watched him come off the takeoff and knew right away he was hosed.. Kept the front end high and smacked...

You can't go wrong with the opposite side patella graft (contralateral). Don't have just any doc do it though, the guy has to be trained for the procedure. I had my surgery on 11/13/09 and my first ride back was 1/20/10, not even three months, and yes it was cleared by the doc. Unless youre old and sedentary do not...

Well you had a completely different surgery. The cadaver takes quite a bit more time to get back to sports related activities. And Make sure you keep straightening it out, thats one of the most important things. The graft will become a physical barrier if you dont get your 0degree extension plus whatever hyperextension you might have. I'm kinda concerned...

prozach:with the graft I had it holds strong enough to be back sooner than 6 months.. Typically 3-4 months is average for the contralateral graft. It's a divide and conquer theory, take the graft from the good knee, which weakens it and reconstruct the bad leg but still keep full strength in that leg. That way all you do is...

Get it repaired asap and avoid running on it... You're just damaging your knees even more. Those ligaments are meant to hold your knee in place. If its sliding all around even with a partial tear its going to damage your cartilage.. Its more worth it to hold off the activity now and get it done, rather than pay for...

I didn't have my meniscus repaired but on my donor side it was just quad sets, heel slides, straight leg raises(when there is no quad lag) .. It will be sore as hell but you have to work through it. Who did your surgery? Not sure why you can only do 0-60 that seems kinda weird..

Any pics man?? (5 weeks post op on 12/18) Just wanted to post a lil update.. my strength is getting a lot better in the donor knee, the step ups have paid off for sure. I went on my first run today. The dr said start easy at a mile then work up, every other day. My garmin wasnt working...

Not sure where you got those numbers from lol.. -10 would be extremely painful hyperextension, usually a person only has -3.. Flexion is typically 135-150 depending on the person... 180 would be a straight line
