Today I talked to Stephen's gf a little. She said It is his T4,T5,T6. As the other update said, his surgury went well, and they said he should start to feel some tingling in his legs, that would be his nerves growing. She wasn't sure about his spinal cord being cut or not.
He is in ICU right now, but they think he will be put in a regular room soon sinse his back is stable now.
I'll post as soon as I hear anything new.
Thanks again to everyone who helped with him, his bike,gear, etc. at the track on Sunday.

This is Emily... Stephen wanted to make sure to tell everyone thanks for helping at the track and especially for helping to keep him calm.
His spinal cord wasn't severed. Right now they are just waiting for the swelling to go down and they are hoping to know more within the next 72 hours as that happens. Last we heard he should be moved to a room today. Once that happens we will post his room number incase anyone wants to send him anything.
His girlfriend is printing out everyone's posts for him. He said he appreciates the thoughts and prayers so keep them coming and she'll make sure he sees them!
And Chris, thanks for your offer. Jessie was going to mention something to him today and once he's up for it we'll make sure you can get in touch.
I know someone else mentioned this but is he or his family members aware of the Geron Clincial Trial that has just started for Spinal Cord Injury?
