my bike ran so horrible in the 1st un timed practice I stopped after a few laps when I realized I would not even make it over the triples, came back to pits my dad took my plug out sopping black.

I have been riding here and there on a indoor track but it is like 30 in there or colder, and a very basic lame track, it was like 80 in the stadium.

So my dad tried doing what he could with what I had, leaned the needle out, and air screw, I had a smaller main jet so we put that in, of course I just had to go out there and try it so I was already nervous about it, get out there, and it ran just as bad almost, was better off idle, but almost fell even flatter after that, so I stopped.

I wanted to do all the jumps, I know I can do all the jumps, but with me on my bike and the way it was running I am 95% sure I would not have made either triple without coming up short, hence why I stopped and just called it quits before I hurt myself, I do have a serious job, and a family now and cant risk getting hurt cause my bike wasnt running right but felt I needed to do it anyway.

So yes I was even more unpreppared then I thought, Yes I can understand where a 450 actually would have helped me a ton in this situation.

Problem is I just didnt have access or anywhere to try and get it running right beforehand, these Rm's are picky as shit about there jetting.

So say whay you want everyone, thanks for the people that rooted me on, and I am sorry I could not back it up, if I am able to get my bike running perfect and can do some more stuff to it before St. Louis I will try it again there like I planned, I am really frustrated and disapointed with myself and my bike right now so badly I cant get to sleep, because I know I could have done so much better, but its over with now!

Thanks

Do the factory trucks / wrenches lend any kind of support to privateers on the same color bike?

Not that they would have a ton of smoker parts lying around but you never know ....

We're all glad you gave it a shot anyway. Everyone has a bad day at the track once in a while.

Yeah I only had a few jets, and what my dad did made no difference, come to find out my gas had moisture in it, which was maybe half the issue or all of it.

I can sit here all day long and make excuses, what is done is done, if I decide to race another one I will try, but only if I get to ride outdoors and get my bike dialed in perfect, I mean I have only ridden maybe 5 times since Xmas, and thats indoors on a tiny track.

St. Louis is in April so I will be able to ride outdoors by then on my buddies SX track and have my bike dialed in better.

But we will just see, I am going to back on my old diet I had a long time ago, and see if I can stick to it too I lost about 50 pounds in 2002 in about 2-3 months.

Again thanks to anyone and everyone that was supporting me, I really do appreciate it, and sorry I could not do my part to get a 2 stroke where you wanted to see it!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike at Indy - he was very bummed and you can tell

he felt like he let us down. The bike was NOT running right and Mike and his dad were

desperately attempting to sort things out.

Mike is a great rider and a fine young man - please allow him to have another shot.

* Also, worth mentioning, he never ONCE messed with Dungey and I never saw

him ignore any blue flags or cut off Reed or step on anyone's handlebars or

wreck a rental car or tip any Kaws over or slap Roncada or ignore Roger De or ........

Well you need a box of parts.Send Dad over to Goose and ask him about your jetting he is a nice guy and will tell you where to start with the jetting.Know what carb and fuel you are using. You will do your own work at your truck. When Dad is there ask him about the gearing as well. And that you need a little extra pull.Or ask Kenny watson

Thanks rupert I am glad I finally got to meet you!

And I do feel bad as I know what I am capable of, but I also know when to stop, 6 years ago I would have went for it anyway and got hurt, hence why I can not even walk right now cause my left foot and ankle dont move much and ache all day, from a crash my bike was acting up but was tearing it up at the track so kept going and my tranny messed up on a big jump and it was a gnarly crash.

I have some people that I am going to talk to about helping me get my bike dialed in so if I decide to do St. Louis I can actually make a good effort at it, like I intended to do last night!
