He may be better due to simply confidence. 90% of starts are mental. Plus, the last two weeks the starts seemed to be better suited to him. The extra 'room' did help him. It would be cool if he finally figured it out though...after ten years

I’d hold the horses on him fixing his starts. He had one good night of them and it was an unusual start with the over under in between. He had a ton of room to his inside on all 3 gate drops.

Starting next to the air compressor really helps

I'm an Eli fan, so I hope I'm wrong, but I feel Eli's good starts at Glendale have to do with the start itself. Eli was able to line up next to the tunnel on the outside all 3 races. There was no way for him to get boxed out and once past the tunnel, he had plenty of room to work with. Combined with the extra long start straight, I feel all this gave Eli more confidence that he could get a good start. Less chance of a start incident with all that room. That's how I think when...

Right...LOL The producer finally got it right in the first Moto when He/She went to the Front of the gate. Eli had a bike length .2 sec out of the gate. Too bad they didn't go back to that shot rather then the Rear tire shot the last Moto..

Dude can get a start now. He was able to be up front ALL 3 mains. On top of him being able to make whatever change he wants to the machine. Hes the guy to beat as of right now.

Yamaha 450 power! I just think everything is falling into place now he’s comfortable. He loves his KYB suspension, He’s one of the only riders who doesn’t want to run a less powerful map and he’s loving that cable clutch. I think these few things are helping his mentality.

Ricki Gilmore, smart dude. A huge part of why Eli decided to go blue in the first place... Worked together through a good chunk of his Honda days and early Kawasaki times.

I’m more interested in whoever has taught Eli how to start a race. That’s been the real key to his recent success.

I think its more the team, management and what they are willing to do to the bikes to get the riders what they need Considering Yamaha has had a rough go for so long. Star takes over and they make things happen. I don't think the bike was ever bad.. Just wrong people around it.

I was ok with him on the Honda. Never really bought into Tomac as a Kawi guy. That was just money exchanged for services rendered. I think he fits the Yamaha brand/image. Looks way better on blue!!! Hope he continues to get better.

I said before the season started , that if Eli gels with that bike , and they set that bike up for him , the way he likes it......he's going to be dangerous. And if he's this strong , this soon in SX??........The Nationals will be something to behold.

How many times do we have to have a conversation about Friese’s riding? The guy is a danger on the track….I’m all about letting the riders handle this crap among themselves but Vince takes it too far…if you were to poll all the riders on who is the most dangerous rider out there Vince would take that easily….

Isn’t moto concepts an incentive type team based on results? DQ all three races tonight. Maybe when it hurts his wallet he won’t be racing like a dumbass.
