Webb has the right mentality

he said something alone the lines of “If Kenny can win at his age I got plenty of time left” — considering Coop is a year or two younger than Ken.

You’d have to like his chances too.

Tomac is gone. Sexton will likely struggle with whatever bike he picks (as usual) and even if he doesn’t he’ll make too many tip overs.

Roczen will likely be competitive but not have the fire after winning 26.

Jett is an unknown. He either is structurally impaired and will never regain his pure advantage (perhaps even more likely given the g forces and impact on ankles SX has with whoops) but is of course that is only going to take him from 20% above to on par with the rest.

Hunter is likely the most stiff competition. His youth may give him more raw speed but if anything goes wrong and Webb can stay consistent we could see a 2017 Ryan Dungey style championship out of Webb.

Prado and Deegan will be fast but still unproven so can’t really make a guess on how competitive they will be.

Roczen is much more naturally gifted than Webb and is simply a "freak" physically. That isn't a knock on Webb, just pointing out what should be obvious to most. Everyone ages differently too.

Good for him though for having a positive mentality and I hope he brings it next year.

One of them has 2 more SX championships. Can you guess?

Neither of them have won a 450SX race.

To be fair though, neither had Hunter prior to the 2026 season and he won 5 races this year and only lost the title by 3 points.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

He does look fast... faster than I'd expected honestly.  Pre season video's are tough because over the years many guys have looked like the best to do it.

With webb though he has proven results,  and you know he's in it for the whole series.  If he manages to add a dash of speed , that's a problem.

The "dash of speed" is something we will all be watching for.  It's purely anecdotal, but I'd say we saw the dash of speed at MXoN.  That was the fastest CW2 outdoors we've seen in years, if not EVER.

I was neither fan nor detractor on Webb prior to the MXoN effort, but now I'm much more fan...

Having another title negates his point? Was Ricky Johnson more talented than Ron Lechein?

His-story is a big deal in our sport.... hop on youtube and check out some races from back in the day... will help you appreciate how much the old guys gave for this sport and how far the bikes and riders have come...

Your current Supercross champ had an injury in 2017 that should of ended his career, permanently. Pretty weak that your little stat failed to mention it. The fact that he can still compete at any level, let alone win championships against a healthy Sexton, Tomac, and Hunter Lawrence is an uphill battle that Webb has never endured.

Webb is pumping out the YouTube content, as of late. Its awesome.  He was practicing at ClubMX in his latest vid. Seems like he wants to really document everything leading up to the '27 season

Wonder if CFW2 will try the FE chassis?

Will there be a Husky Factory Edition released soon?

Alex Campbell (Peanut) will be his race mechanic. Austin Kent is his practice mechanic.

Webb will be quietly lurking in the shadows on that husky. A few slip ups by the Lawrence’s and them and boom 4 time SX champ.  He’s coming in strong after riding outdoors and a little pissed last season didn’t go great.
