This seems logical, but where does the million plus salary and 100K race win bonuses come from?

Yamaha, Monster, A-stars. He wouldn’t go hungry. Do well, and then sign with a factory for 28 and beyond.

I've seen people fired for less at almost every company I've worked for. I can't see them continuing on with this approach of "it's not us that's the problem, it's the superstar rider we signed that's piloting the machine."

Idk man.

He is not giving up a fat ass salary for Yamaha contingency.  Monster and A Stars are already paying him.

Kawi doesn’t want a rider on the team who doesn’t want to be there.  If you wanna leave then leave.  Theyve had a history of this.  They lost RC and Stew at their peak

Who thinks he actually said “farewell?”

Probably more like “adios, I’m outta here.”

It reminds of the Cristophe Pourcel situation. Has to be hard for these guys when they have had the perfect setup in the past but lose it. Truth be told, alot of guys hit their head one too many times. Chase i have felt the last couple years was there. Good thing he is tough

He won one a few years ago.

True, a depleted field but never the less won one. It’s just wild how some folks never stop hoping for something that will not happen as opposed to cheering for other riders that have a serious shot at winning, it’s a lesson in psychology really.

Just because Jett and Hunter weren’t there, doesn’t make it a depleted field. Chase was hauling ass in the lead, and Mookie was running him down in the whoops like Chase was a novice. Even without Chase’s crash, that win was Mookie’s.

I get what you’re saying, Sully, but I still believe it’s been a career that’s never lived up to peoples expectations and they tend to make excuses for lackluster rides . Granted his brother set the bar high.

He definitely hasn’t lived up to the expectations most of us had for him (that’s probably on us, though), but that win in Tampa was 100% legit.

Just watched his new vlog, and he oddly or not oddly never mentioned Kawasaki or the kx450 at all. Just said he couldn’t wait to ride again with the boys. And he said it quite a bit, no mention of his now former team which lead me to believe it was actually happening. Now I guess tomorrow or so we wel see where he ends up.

He also said that he hopes to get the all-clear to begin riding next week... or so I thought.

What's crazy to me is Kem roczen Thugged it out at PMG to get the rmz to where he doesn't have tl change anything anymore. And it took at least 2 years and multiple ppl giving input.

Chase spent half the year working on the bike, STILL WON, and felt he had to leave. He's a prima Donna Oscar myer weenie. If he spent the next season working on it it would get better

I hope wherever he lands he dominates because hes gonna be seen as a bigger tool bag than what ppl thought  Prado was.  At least Prado knew he needed to go BACK to KTM to do well, he needed familiarity.

I just hope he understands his overloading of the bike and looking at the ground is his issue causing knifing and front wash outs.

What’s crazy to me is people think it’s Chases job to set the bike up. His job is to race for wins, championships, and represent his sponsors. It’s the teams job to set the bike up to his standard. He provides input on his like, dislikes, comfort, etc. but ultimately it’s the teams job to produce a bike that helps him win.

In every motorsport the driver has to absolutely give input and needs a developed knowledge base in order to help develop the car. No they dont have to be engineers but the need to develop knowledge. Part of that is understanding limitations of the bike and limits of what can be changed.

When James stewart first got to kawi they complained about not the bike holding him back going through whoops, he didnt understand that while they could make it faster for whoops, it would be unridable any where else especially turns.

Setting a bike up, regardless of brand is a give and take, and part of thst is adjusting the driving/riding and being realistic of what's being asked of the bike. Ricky Carmichael has preached this many times over about how he had to get bikes to say 85% perfect, then he had to make that up.

Chase rides a certain way, and is unwilling to adjust and its why hes crashed the SAME way every bike hes been on.

Whichever brand hes on hes gonna tuck again and complain the bike is at fault
