Thread is too long to scan through now. What are the reasons that lots here think Chase is leaving Kawi? Facts, not opinions. Not that Chase is obviously must be maybe probably upset with the bike so that means he's going to leave like Jorge. What has been said and by who? I assume he is staying at Kawi and haven't seen or heard anything anywhere else other than here?  just cause Prado quit last year doesn't mean that is the new normal. At least I hope not for the sake of the sport.

What facts am I missing that lead to this even being a question?

Page 23 seems like a good spot for a synopsis by anyone that has followed the whole thread!

Never said everything was perfect. I asked why people think he is just going to quit and give up.

It was a few years ago now, I can’t remember if it was him.

And it isn't the bike holding Sexton back this year. At least not to the level some are making it out to be. He sucks at testing and he is very picky. And when things don't go his way, he picks up his ball and goes home.

There are 26 pages for you to find out, every single page has reasons why people think he may want to leave Kawasaki. No need to go thru all of em. If youre looking for facts, as in, the team manager went out to the public and screamed yes Chase wants to leave us - suprrise surprise - there are none

I'm happy this drama is keeping the Deegs threads to a minimum this week.

He continues to pick himself off the ground and charge 💯 leading to additional crashes when he could back it down and take a safe top five. But go ahead and explain how his actions shows he takes his ball and goes home…

Tim Gjaser is an example of someone who gave it 100 percent last year and saw nothing in return by way of race wins. Sexton proved he could win on Kawasaki if things went his way. Tim didn't win an overall in any scenario, whether his competitors were having a bad race or not.

How many teams has he left because he wasn't happy with "the bike"? I get what you are saying otherwise. I have to give it to him that he will take slams and get up just about better than anyone. Which is exactly why I find it puzzling that people think he is leaving kawasaki already. He will stick it out, but he will have mediocre results unless he finds some magic and then he will burn the bridge and be left finding another team to throw under the bus.

Thank you for the only clear answer in this thread. I guess tinfoil hats are just the new style.

I don't think this is some off-the-wall tinfoil hat theory.  I think there is solid evidence he is unhappy at Kawasaki, and enough industry insiders have discussed him talking to other teams.  Where there is smoke, there is often times fire.  He has publicly stated he's the most uncomfortable he's ever been in his career on the current bike.  Fahie has made statements that would seem to confirm to outsiders there's some tension there.  I feel 99% sure that Chase (and his advisors/agents/lawyers) are scrutinizing the contract, talking to other teams, and seeing if they can get the correct pieces to line up to change teams.  There's always the chance things don't line up and he stays at Kawi, but I'm thinking he wants to leave.

Some similarities to Prado's debacle last year, there was smoke.  It was easy to say "he has a 3 year contract, no news here", but the smoke signals turned out to be true.

Why the hell would they sign Malcolm to a 2 year deal and renew garret, if Chase is staying?

When’s the last time kawi had 3 riders? Isn’t that enough proof something’s off?

insurance against Chase taking a long time to work himself back into race shape and get used to the new bike perhaps? Malcolm has missed some time with recently too. I would think they want to make sure they have at least 2 of the 3 entered each week.

Sure cool theory one  but it’s one they haven’t done In 20 or 30 years lol so it certainly seems out of place.

There’s 27 pages of circumstantial evidence, conspiracy theories, riding tips and personal attacks. I’m convinced.

let's be real here. You SERIOUSLY think with not 1 reliable, confirmed leak from an insider who would unquestionably be involved in negotiations for Chase to leave has surfaced, it is still happening at this late stage of musical chairs for 2027 riders changing teams? That seems unbelievable to me a secret like that could be kept quiet this long with so many sources getting scoops out there. I could be wrong and pigs could fly too 🤔

You said this "That seems unbelievable to me a secret like that could be kept quiet this long with so many sources getting scoops out there"

Demonstrating a higher than realistic degree of confidence in the scoop getters.

The irony is too good not to point out. 3strokemx was adamant that the KX 2 stroke was not real. Very similar to how RDNutz thinks its absolutely not possible that Sexton wants out at Kawi. Both of these users spit in the face of all the common sense in front of them.

In the Kawi 2 stroke case, we know what happened. I am enjoying seeing these 2 now go back and forth over Sexton. And again, somebody that just won't take into account the overwhelming amount of information that would make a normal person not speak in absolutes to refute it.

Whoa let's pump the brakes!   I never said it wasn't real.  I said there was NO Evidence it was real, because at that time there wasn't any evidence.

You can be certain Lewis Phillips has among others. I thought it was poignant when LP was interviewing Herlings at the of nations and they repeatedly stated there were so many things they knew were going on within the sport and couldn't mention publicly.
