I’m curious to hear what you guys think 🤔 From what I’ve heard, the new Kawi is more stable, with less pitching and a longer swingarm, making it feel more like the 2023 model.
That said, Chase isn’t really a rider who relies on rear-end steering. Could these changes actually make the bike feel worse for him, especially since he’s looking for a stronger connection with the front end and better front-end feel?
You heard that from ac. A kawi ambassador. But we’ll see.
“From what I hear”
Source: Public podcast
Remember when Kawi put a longer and bigger swingarm on the 1997 KX250? It changed that bikes handling and everyone liked it better. The 97-98 KX250 went on to be one of the best bikes those years. This new swingarm could be a big improvement on the 2027 450
& @blockhead17 That is true, but the press release specifically highlighted a longer swingarm too. And if you look closely at the photos from the FXR shoot with Broc a couple of days ago, the geometry does resemble RV2’s bike from a couple of years ago. It definitely has that slightly choppered look.

The new 450 looks very nice. I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed but wheel hubs look to have a machined finish this time ? Not just the grey cast
Seen the first YouTube review on the bike and the Rrideology system that’s in the front fender got great feedback
Looking forward to seeing more reviews on the bike
Yeah maybe
Haha I’m just busting your balls mate, it’s going to be interesting to hear what happens
Nothing too revealing here, but they did have the press reveal in Europe already.

Chase's problems seem to be more the people he has to work with than the bike. Fahie blaming Chase's big wreck on Chase publicly was unreal.
Where is the inaccuracy?
He can hear it on a public podcast. And he hasn’t attempted to suggest his source is unique to him..
The crazy part of this is that Chase complains he can't get the bike to turn, when to us mortals, the 24-26 is a much better cornering bike.
You sound like a lawyer 🤣
I was just having a laugh man
No disrespect but the speed of Pro Riders are nothing to do with us.
They are faster than mortals even on a sightlap.
I ride on saturdays with guys that ride national Championship at a good level and you blow away with their speed
Those guys might as well be doing a different sport at the speeds they’re going. I also liked that gen of kx450 and was able to ride mine with success, but at half a minute a lap faster of a national track I have no clue how the bike would perform
My buddies cousins girlfriends uncle has a coworker who is deep deep deep in the industry and he says that Chase is showing up ready to race at A1 on a Sherco.
I tell my wife that all the time. It’s a completely different sport they are doing.
The rake is 26.7 vs 26.6 for the 26, a little longer trail will make the bike corner a bit better. It will be able to track through ruts better.
This is not an update. You should have posted this nonsense in the other Chase Sexton thread full of more ....... nonsense
Pit Row
That's it?!- the swing arm is 5mm longer and that is the end all to fix all for Chase? Seems like something they would have already tried..no?
There is changes to the frame too.
wow, what a whitty comment. Where did you come up with that? Gold! Never heard anything like that before, lol
You can’t modify swingarm length per rules I believe.
Some teams like Yamaha would use other swing arms from previous bikes but you can’t change the length of the stocker.
I like to leave the same kind of comment on every Chase speculation thread.
But for what it's worth my sources are LEGIT. Chase to Sherco 2027. No more Alpinestars either, he's going head to toe in Skillz gear.
Chase's problems lie within his own head. If unaddressed and uncorrected they will follow.
It is pretty funny to watch a pro go around the track and wonder how anyone could go any faster. Then you see a legit guy, they are smoother, more precise, and more aggressive all in one. I was fortunate to have quite a few buddies and local pros become decent privateers and for around 10 years we had a great group in the pros. Forkner was one of them, Koblusch, Pauli, Gullie brothers, Click, Weishaar, Mccewen, i think all made mains. Like anything, the leap was really when they learned how to setup a bike properly.
He has a couple to iron out. His bike setup needs help from someone knowledgeable that actually understands it all, and he needs help with a sports coach to get him in the right head space. The guy is an animal, I am a fan for sure and would love to see him and his true potential.
I'd like to give Sexton's and Prado's Kawas to Dazzy and Jett. I fucking bet my nut sack that they would have found the sweet spot.
All these bikes are so close in technology that the final piece of the puzzle falls on the rider to tweak and milk those final 0.1 tenths here and there. This is what makes Dazzy and the brothers so good.
They have figured out how to unlock those important 10ths here and there around Sx and Nat tracks.
Sexton is fucked. He doesn't have that mindset and expertise that Dazzy brings to Honda.
I know everyone thinks Jett is god, but if you remember at the start of last year when their setup wasn’t dialled yet the brothers struggled.. they got it sorted quick, but they are human and do struggle when they aren’t comfortable.
Yes. We all remember that. They went to work and figured out a good base for the year.
Sexton won a couple rounds here and there.
My personal opinion is that Chase and his dad expect a team to deliver the near perfect base setup when he arrives.
It doesn't work like that...hence his current situation.
This!! Spot on! 👍
