Love YZ250’s ! Got 9th overall in the otmx on my 06’.  My latest one is a 2016 X model bought from forum member Herb Eaversmells. It’s the fastest one I’ve owned, it rips !IMG 4226 0.png?VersionId=cK.CRFbLkjzo80xPTeWEXsNkH7R6QIMG 4217 1

Hands down, the best bike I have ever owned.

Seems like if you post a picture you automatically get a downvote?

Hahaha and you I guess, It’s almost like there’s a bunch of cool people in here who like to ride and race dirt bikes, and then there’s some goober keypad warriors who are here because ….. well that’s kind of a mystery 😂😂 I have no idea why. Maybe some kid or maybe some 450 owner with every upgrade known to man who’s tired of getting their ass kicked by some guy on a YZ250 ? LOL  Thumbs down in 3…2……1….. 😆

I don't think it's possible to post without getting down votes. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You could post a picture of a kitten on here and someone would feel the need to go out of their way and down vote it. It's pretty mind boggling.

Freshie stage 1 complete. Will do motor and wheels this winter once she gets some hours on her.

From Uruguay!

Picked up this 2016 last week, low hours, PC R304 Shorty, Big Tank. Loved it!

First 250 2 Stroke, a good pair with my 2026 250F.

Great looking bikes! You have plenty of time to ride since you won’t be watching soccer anymore.

😂 sorry, couldn’t resist.

I had KSR wheels build me a set of hoops.  I typically go for mag color, this time I wanted something more subtle and landed on titanium colored hubs with did stx hoops.  Not quite as dark as factory blue excels, but not bad.  As always, wheels came build nice and true and look great.

Suspension is getting some hours on it, so I’ll send it back to PC with the top end for them to go through. It runs well, but my old motor is defiantly stronger and want this one to replicate my old ride.

I gave my 2018 a bit of love recently. On its 3rd bottom end, 2nd gearbox and probably 50th top end

My ‘82 back in ‘82. 86’d it after a few months to get the Honda. Ricky Johnson got that bike to work , but it was different for us mortals.

My 23’, I did the Hitlis setup on it, made it super rideable, great setup for vets that want manageable power, it still rips if you twist it though! Built this up after my kx450 got stolen and I haven’t looked back👍👍IMG 0296 8

I've been considering the Hitlis myself. She's got well over 100 hours now, and about due a freshening up, so I think I'm going to install it along with some top end mods I plan to do over the winter.

My YZ is a workhorse, hoping to relegate it to "practice bike status" next season when I get a fresh one. Admittedly, was not a fan of it my first couple of seasons on it but have acquired a taste for the raw feel of it compared to my friends 250Fs and "higher tech" two strokes. Unless you are at the sharpest end of racing or into hard enduro super heavy, I feel like it's still the most affordable way to race and be competitive.

The piston let go on me late last season after I pushed the limit on time between top ends just a bit too long. Cylinder and rod were good so 5 hours of rinsing metal out of the lower end and new piston later, I was back on the bike. Not saying it was advisable but it was 20-25 motor hours ago and still running like a champ!

This is one of the only pics I have since doing the current gen restyle kit and big tank this spring. Definitely feels more modern than the previous gen plastics/seat.

Been riding and racing these old steely framed YZ's for a long time now. No better bike built than that 2002 model.

Thanks! At 52yrs old rocking a right knee replacement that doesn’t work that well, its getting rarer and rarer to get a pic of me like that 👍

I like the Hitlis, I started off on their recommended set point which made the thing electric, but as I got more used to riding a 2stroke again, I ended up going back towards a more aggressive setting. It’s weird because the Hitlis actually gives the bike more torque feeling, but if you snap the clutch it will light up just like any Yz would, I joke with my friends that I’ve created a 2stroke 250f😂…

Too bad an 06 is like a million dollars on the used market. Otherwise I would have one… I want one bad. 125 or 250

My son left his ‘09 450 in my garage and I got tired of looking at it, so I washed it and got a bit carried away with it. Dude, you have made some elegant, wonderful choices on that bike. Magnesium-color triple clamps? Motostuff rotors? Understated graphics? All good. How did you get the PC cone pipe?

Looks to be a Scalvini cone pipe with a PC plate, but I could be wrong…

Backyard Designs graphics

But I agree with you, very tastefully done.
