Thanks! Plastics are easy to find, Acerbis. Graphics were a custom order with SKDA. Plastics are black so I painted the front and rear guards for a better finish, no need to do the shrouds. Tamiya X-8 lemon yellow acrylic was an excellent match.

+1 for STIC, as I understand it the holes in the emulsion tube get the mixture spinning up past the needle which really helps vaporisation. Save some serious coin and install a big-bore/stroker alternative, the STIC Super X PWK 38/40mm carb. Run everything stock. Yeah, it isn't a sick race build from an elite tuner, but it'll provide a broader and more versatile powerband. Rich Taylor on a otherwise stock CR250 test bike got his only SX main holeshot with a less potent 90's version. There's a published interview regarding this. Savage power gains on pump gas for my big-bore long-stroke 200SX. 5+ years, reliable as stawk. $700 vs $5k!

I can’t contribute to the differences between the two specs of the pipes. But I wanted to share a tip for keeping raw pipes looking good and easier to maintain. Clean your exhaust up really good and coat it with Cerakote wipes ($15 for 10 wipes on Amazon) and it keeps the rust off. The only place I have to touch up is the initial curved section. Very minimal scuffing in that spot then reapply and it looks perfect again. The main portion of the exhaust doesn’t get hot enough to do anything to the coating. It does give a...
