Sad to see Twenty Three Media announce they won’t be attending the live races. I liked these guys podcast and their post race analysis. Michael Lindsey and Ping have been warning people there will be big changes for 2027. I wonder how many other companies this will affect?
Yikes
Meh...whatever.
Good riddance.
Sports absolutely flooded with people spewing the same shit over and over again.
For me,Hopper is an absolute clown shoe and the enticknap brothers are just as painful
Non of these guys used to exist.
Let's go back to that.
The best will remain the best and the guys on iPhones who somehow got credentials won't be there. Oh well.
iPhone, burkeen provides some really great footage and content. I don’t care if it’s an iPhone or a $6k camera, he gets footage and shots guys with 40k in equipment never will. Dude works hard, runs all over the track side literally running from turn to turn to get the angles and views he does.
Some high end established outlets will absolutely not be running up the hills and up the jumps to get these views.
But sure “the best” will remain.
The ones “they” say are the best will remain.
And so it goes.

Never even heard of this one, but sucks for anyone to have to pull the plug doing something they love.
There is a small part of me that longs for the old magazines and the way we would consume the news and info on the sport without distraction and noise that comes with the modern overload.
A larger part of me is firmly in 2026 and try to consume as much content over a weekend as possible. A lot of that is random dudes track side that fill in the blanks and provide a different perspective. While I don’t bitch about the quality of official content, iPhone stuff on YouTube is more often than not much better than the videopass.
The iPhone stuff on YouTube shows the condition of the track better than official content.
The democratization of media has been a good thing across the board for content consumers: more variety and better coverage. The competition for clicks can trigger innovation and creativity. The only downside side is wading through some of the dreck.
When the event owners crack down and limit access, they’ll eventually stifle this creative impulse.
Plenty of local events that would love to have any SX Media rejects. FYI that's how Matty B started.
For every quality media guy that decides to leave, there will be ten lesser quality wannabes who will gladly bend the knee for a pass in the belief that it will lead to fame and fortune.
I've been wondering for awhile who the 23 media guy is. What is his background in mx/sx?
Wonder how the media restrictions will work with riders now doing live streams at every race and constantly posting content from the event. Seems like this could have significant impact for The Law Firm and other high profile riders.
So…..being an Mx groupie doesn’t pay well?
I gave the Twenty Three podcast a chance for a long while but ultimately unsubscribed last year because there were so many inaccurate things shared on the podcast. If I'm listening to a podcast I want real information and their podcast was like listening to a few buddies who "kind of" know what they're talking about BS about the races. Same goes for the Whiskey Throttle guys. I just can't listen to it when much of what they're saying isn't correct.
So could we see new photographer positions open at MXSports and Feld? SX/MX “State” Media?
You didn’t use to exist either, let’s go back to that!
MX Rider, photographer around the So Cal area, started to do videos and interviews with all the crew who rode FMX with twitch, riders who practiced at Pala and GH then morphed into what he built
Pit Row
More people know who scrubdaddy is than this guy
Burkeen's trackside video from the MXdN is awesome
Doubtful due to the exorbitant costs involved. F Feld!
I believe MX Sports / Racer X photographers (and writers) are freelance contractors.
I was being sarcastic.
Thanks though 😎
Steve Matthes is the only moto media.
What the hate ? The Corlee brothers love the sport and spend their money on trying to cover races because they have a passion for Moto.
Does it make you feel better to put people down that you don't even know or are curious to who they are?
I would bet any amount of money that you would NEVER say this to their face if you met them at the track. Pro tip - don't say shit online that you wouldn't say to someone in person.
Do better. this place suffers through enough assholes...
Pfft 😄
You good Timmy Tough Knuckles?
Hates a strong word.I explained it all for you.Sports flooded with it.I too have a passion for the sport and don't want to see it become the absolute shit show that it's become.I dont ask them to spend their money on it.
It's a public forum peanut-I gave my opinion.I absolutely wouldn't say it to their face..why would I? To initiate a fight? To see the wind fall out of his sails? For what?
Your anger amuses me.
Thanks for puffing your chest big dog.
LOL "Timmy Tough Knuckles" I never heard that one before 🤣
How many of these guys will go back to the local tracks and ride now that they’re not at SX/MX?
Blows my mind how much our industry is currently occupied with people who don’t actually ride.
Sorry about that and I agree about Burkeen. His content is legit and he is making enough to pay to be there I was not trying to call out the iPhone as much and the squids with 400 followers and had media passes.
You are on your couch watching the content.
Weird flex knocking these dudes putting in the time and effort, interested in the sport we all love.
